It worked for two days before the phone's sound became static-filled. Nothing else happened after that. I did some troubleshooting and discovered that the cord has no continuity and has simply stopped transmitting the signal. It's nothing more than a piece of garbage, pure garbage.
Nothing. There is no tone when you dial. Nope, nothing when I swapped one for the other (both ends have the same clips). My phone worked again after I plugged in my old 7-foot cord. This excessively long cable served no purpose. Fortunately, Amazon credited my account. I still need a longer phone cord, but this isn't it; DO NOT BUY IT.
Why is this vendor allowed to sell on Amazon in the first place? I don't usually buy something without first reading the reviews, but this time I didn't because I figured it was just a cheap telephone wire, so why would I need one? Check out all of the negative reviews claiming that the item does not work! It turns out that they're all correct. I wasted so much time moving my modem across the house and running this cable along the wall, only to have to put everything back together again. It's total nonsense. We should be able to use this cable as a whip against anyone profiting from this useless garbage.
The cord is no longer functioning. I wasted over an hour trying to get my phone to work, assuming it was a VOIP issue when, in fact, this cord was dead (no connection) right out of the box. To make matters worse, according to the Amazon return page for my order, the cord "is not eligible for a return. " Wow!.
Arrived with a crack. The ring and voice wires shared a slot, and the yellow wire was pushed into one of the green or red slots. I used to make CAT5 cable, so I understand what happened, but how did it pass quality control? What irritates me the most is when a defective product is unavailable for replacement.
The cord is completely broken. They also do not allow you to return the item if it is defective.
It's a cable, to be sure. How much can you write about a phone chord? Three stars for the following reasons: I bought this to run from one room to the next by tucking it under the base molding of my walls. The cable's sheath tore half a dozen times while I was pressing it between carpet and molding, and I was using a rubber panel popper, so that's some flimsy sheathing. But, for the time being, it works.
I ordered the phone cord after rearranging my belongings, but when I opened the package today, I noticed wires that were not covered by the plastic putter coating. I tried it again, but it didn't work this time. Before sending to customers, they must check the quality of the workmanship.
