Questions & Answers
No, it's very simple to replace the roller. I honestly don't recall seeing any instructions, but you could look that up on the internet. It does not necessitate the use of any unique equipment.
I gave it my all, but I didn't see much of a difference. It was restored to like-new condition with a new roller and pad assembly. br>All right, now it's my turn to rant. These so-called " consumables " are exorbitantly priced.br>My scanner is rarely used, and the rollers and pads appear to have developed flat spots just sitting there with- out use. They weren't "consumed" in the traditional sense. br>I would not purchase this scanner in the future.

I have a S1500 scanner that needed to be reconditioned after 10,000 scans. It's very simple to change this out. I watched a video on YouTube and had the scanner back up and running in 10 minutes, like new.
I'm very happy. I tried using rubbing alcohol to clean the old roller. It worked for a while, but this new roller is much more effective. I'm a huge fan of the ScanSnap, and it's finally back to normal.
It restored my scanner to its former glory.
I had an issue with the scanner not getting paper into the feeder, so I changed that as well as the PAS assembly, and everything was back to normal. It's similar to replacing brake pads on a car. The scanner has a lot fewer problems now.
The feed has been restored to its previous state. The pick roller is recommended to be replaced every 100,000 sheets, while the pad assembly should be replaced every 50,000 sheets. Unfortunately, only 24,000 sheets were made of one or both of the original parts. The review will be updated if this occurs again.
My scanner wasn't grabbing the paper as well as it used to. So I went out and bought a replacement roller, and it now works perfectly.
Excellent product.
It functioned as if it had never been used before.
