If the fluid ruined the negs, it would be a disaster. The scanning fluids are exactly what they claim to be and make a huge difference in the quality of each scan. To get rid of all the bubbles and excess fluid, use Mylar film, a squeegee, or other similar tools. before scanning on your Epson flatbed, place the mount on top of it. Greetings, Chris.br>br>No, I'm afraid. Scanning film up to 5 9 inches (127 229 mm) is possible with the Epson Fluid Mount Accessory for V800 / V850. I hope this has provided you with the information you were looking for. The Epson Group
The Fluid Mount Accessory is for scanning film with scanning fluid, not for other purposes. Use the reflective mat that came with the scanner to help keep prints flat on the glass when scanning them. The Epson Group
Selected User Reviews For Epson Fluid Mount Accessory for V800 / V850 - Photo Scanner Accessory (B12B818272)
I strongly advise you to use this wet mount bed with your Epson V850/V800 Perfection scanner if you want to get the most out of it. The full negative (I'm scanning 4x5, 120, and 35mm) can be scanned without losing any edge detail, and the wet mount helps tame curled or bent films, while the fluid helps bring out the best in the emulsion. Instead of more expensive fluid mount oils and scanning sheets, I use 2091% isopropyl alcohol and a very thin, optically clear mylar sheet.
The Epson Fluid Mount Accessory for V850 made it possible to scan negatives from the 1960s with the Epson Scanner. These negatives were very small (Minox) and were thought to be lost, but thanks to the fluid mount, they were digitized and prints of excellent quality were produced. If you're working with old, unusual, or damaged negatives, I strongly suggest using a fluid mounting system.
The stock mount prevents me from fine-tuning focus and always results in blurry photos, especially when compared to those "scanned" with a DSLR. I was finally able to get even grains on the film thanks to this wet mount, which solved the problem perfectly.
PERFECT.
It's ideal for 5x4 negatives.
This is fantastic!.
Greetings, very lovely objectbr>excellent qualitybr>many thanks.
