If you're referring to the wire in the product image, it's a link cable that's used to send data and programs from one TI-84 Plus to another. From one 83 Plus calculator to the next. The link- The majority of TI-based calculators require a cable to operate. 80s- Calculators that can graph a series of data.
No, mine didn't come with one, but you can find them online.
Amazon has a 30-day return policy, at least in my experience. With third-party sellers, it may be quicker.

This is the most useful item I've ever purchased for a class. It's a little tricky to get used to at first, but once you do, it's a huge time saver. It's a little on the pricey side, but it has a lot of capabilities. It was fantastic in terms of statistics. It assisted me with factorials, two-tailed graphing, z intervals, and a variety of other topics. I debated whether or not to purchase it due to the price, but it is the best calculator I have ever owned. It is long-lasting and durable. I wouldn't lend this calculator because I'd be completely lost without it. This one is one of my favorites. The only reason it did not receive five stars is because it was difficult to use at first if you were unfamiliar with this model. I hadn't had math in years and had recently returned to school, so everything was new to me.
Unfortunately, after about a week of use, the calculator I received broke down. It's unclear what caused the "malfunction," but the calculator began to keep and display the same two lines even when switching menus between statistical calculations and basic addition and subtraction functions. This hampered the calculator's usability because I couldn't clear the calculator's memory cache or select other options without the calculator misinterpreting what I was trying to enter. br>br>In the end, I returned the item and purchased an unused one from Target.
It served me well in college, and I was able to pass it on to my middle-school-aged daughter. The battery has never needed to be replaced, and the screen is still as bright as it was when we first bought it. It's been dropped at least 100 times and has never caused any problems. If you're looking for a less expensive item, I wouldn't recommend it. Choose a dependable and long-lasting product.
BUYING IS NOT A GOOD IDEA! I bought a calculator in March of last year, and the screen went blank after a month. My niece attempted to use the calculator for the SATs 10 months later, but the screen went blank once more. I have a refurbished calculator from a different company that has served me well over the years. This is not a company to buy from!.
TI is still a reliable brand; we purchased a cheap scientific calculator earlier this year only to discover that it lacked all of the functions that were required.
For my statistics class, I required a calculator. It is not the most recent model, but it can still solve all of the problems as well as its more recent counterpart. The cable depicted in the photo was not received by me.
It is in perfect condition and has no visible damage. The instruction booklet is the only thing I wish it came with.
It's exactly what you think it's going to be - the traditional TI-83+ 83+. It's extremely beneficial. It is simple to learn and use. It's not the most advanced programming option, but it's a must-have in any science, engineering, or math toolkit. One is required.
