Selected User Reviews For Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus CE Blueberry Graphing Calculator

A Cadilac body with a Volkswagen engine from 1964, and it's way overpriced! Since the early 1970s, when I purchased my first scientific calculator, I've been a TI calculator fan
3/5

My primary mode of transportation is a TI-83. Nspire CX ii CAS is a computer that runs on the Nspire CX ii operating system. I used to have an HP Prime and a Casio fx-100. All CAS calculators, including the cg500, are excellent, but the TI is the best. When it comes to the TI-84 Plus, 84 Plus CE is a certificate that certifies that you have completed all of the requirements I like the way it looks and the colors it uses; It was unavoidable for me to have one. Unfortunately, the functionality does not match the appearance, and certainly not the price! The scientific functions are similar to those found in a Casio FX-100. For less than $20, you can get a 115 ES Plus. To be fair, the 84 does have some excellent statistics capabilities. But first, let's look at some graphs. br>br>The TI-84 Plus is a calculator that can be used to solve a variety of problems. The graphing area, as well as the graph analysis tools, are significantly reduced in graph mode on the 84 Plus CE, which has a very nice, large color display. The vast majority of them are entirely missing. Come on, TI, this is your top-of-the-line non-CAS grapher, and it has no more capability than a Casio grapher for $39! br>br>And while we're on the subject of missing items, where has the backspace key gone? By default, the line editor is set to character overwrite mode, making it difficult to edit a previously used equation or expression. br>br>I'm going to stop now before this turns into a rant. It's clear that TI created this calculator specifically for high school students and their parents in order to defraud them of money. This calculator is, at best, a $50 calculator that performs as such. br>br>I'll wrap it up on a positive note - It's simple to connect the 84 to a PC with TI's free TI Connect software. The TI Basic and assembly languages can be used to program the 84. The latter I haven't tried yet. Although programming on the calculator itself is not difficult for short programs, the TI Connect software includes a programming editor. This is a good option if you enjoy programming your calculator; there are a lot of programs, and peer to peer support is beneficial. The bottom line is that if you're going to spend this much money on a grapher, you should get the TI-84 Plus. Nspire CX II CAS is a controller for the Nspire CX II series of computers. It's three times as powerful as the average calculator and the best available.

This calculator is extremely useful to me as a high school student, and it is well worth the money
5/5

It's thin and light, which is ideal for me because I don't have access to lockers at school. The colored graphics are also extremely useful. It made graphs with multiple lines easier to read. Because the buttons were arranged in the same way as in previous versions, I quickly became accustomed to this calculator. The battery is also incredible; I charged it fully the night I received it and did not charge it again for three months. I hadn't even charged it yet when it died. (Don't worry, there's a charger included!) There's also a booklet with the instructions. )br>Oh, and because the screen lights up, be prepared for teachers to approach you, mistaking the calculator for a smartphone! This has happened to me on several occasions. "(insert my name) put that phone away or else you'll have to get it back from the office!" yelled a teacher across the classroom, to which I replied, "it's a calculator!" while waving the bright screen in the air from my dark back corner.

If you're not going to use it, that's great
3/5

This is a fantastic calculator; the screen is beautiful, and the extra memory and speed are very useful; however, TI has blocked the TI-84 Plus from being sold. 84 Plus CE is prevented from installing third-party applications. Do not purchase this calculator if you need to use it with an app that you wrote yourself or that you obtained from a third-party manufacturer. It's a shame that TI has gone this route; they already have a monopoly on graphing calculators, and now they're limiting app purchases to their store.

Love it! I really like it for the price
5/5

You get a fantastic rechargable color graphing calculator for the price. After more than three months of fairly consistent use, the battery is still going strong. Only a negative. br>br> It has an unusual USB connector that is no longer in use. I had to scavenge for a replacement when I misplaced it.

This calculator is equipped with all of the necessary features
5/5

This was a gift from my husband because I needed a graphing calculator for school. AND, OH BOY, OH BOY, OH BOY, OH BOY, OH BO This puppy is a one-stop shop for everything! In comparison to the rest of the TI-series, it's thin and light. I've used and tested a number of different calculators. Advanced Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus I/II/III, and *some* Chemistry and Physics functions are all possible with it. When graphing, the color/backlighting feature is useful. You have the option of coloring. Different functions can be coded, and the calculator will color-code them. To match what you're doing, draw lines that are similar to what you're doing (easy differentiation!). Isn't it true that I didn't say anything about the battery? This calculator is a BEAST when it comes to retaining its charge. It's absolutely insane. I keep the backlighting moderately high, the thing stays in my backpack, I use it a lot (I'm a Biochem/ChemE student), and it honestly holds its charge for MONTHS at a time. I was hesitant about the purchase, I read reviews, and I was on the fence because of the price. But, man. I am completely happy!.

TI continues to produce excellent graphing calculators! The 82s, 83s, 85s, and 89s are all in a basket, waiting to be used by the grandchildren
5/5

The internal batteries, on the other hand, had run out! Who'd have guessed that storing them for 20 years would be enough to accomplish this? My daughter's 89 is still in excellent condition, but that is due to the fact that she uses it on a daily basis. In any case, the grand wished for a blue graphing calculator with games. Hmph. When I was in school, they didn't have that! He's having a lot of fun with this calculator. This is a high-quality product, just like the rest of the TI calculators.

Calculator is fantastic
5/5

This was a school purchase for me. The item arrived promptly and was exactly as described. A manual, a charging cable, and a cover to protect the buttons when not in use were included with the calculator. br>At the same time, I bought a chart to serve as a reference for how to use various functions.

As a 15-year math teacher, I can attest to the fact that this is a great calculator that is fairly simple to use
5/5

The color is especially useful because it eliminates the need for my students to figure out which curve corresponds to which equation - On the graph and in the equation list, they are different colors, and this is one of the many options available on the SAT and ACT.
