Mounting brackets that are flush with the floor. A flush mounted Simrad radio had failed so I ordered these to replace it. As I mentioned before, I was not sure whether I would be able to use the mounts from the Simrad, as the boat is in As a result, I thought I would get these and return them if no longer The Simrad was almost as well designed as these, but they could have been used instead. Unlike the Simrad brackets, these brackets have a ridge that helps to hold them in place and prevent them from twisting as they did with the Simrad brackets. Despite this, the Simrad brackets were still in place and were in good working order. It is a bit tougher and has a better fit on the radio.
Initially, the material looked a little cheesy, but it actually worked quite well and went on smoothly. The arm mount is in a fast center console, and it has survived some long, rough rides without showing any signs Excellent value for the money.
Our 2003 Sea Ray Sundancer 260 came with a Standard Horizon radio that worked perfectly with this unit.
My Horizon radio fits perfectly into these spaces in my center console and works perfectly. I installed it on the console of a 2017 Seafox Avenger. I believe the console is maybe a quarter of an inch thick.
A good fit and a snug fit.
In my case, I ordered it to flush mount a GX1400G through a 3/4" starboard. It can be installed on a maximum surface of 1/2". My opinion is that the screw to secure the radio has at least 1" of threads, so it is poor design.
The installation appears to be professionally done.
I found that it worked.
