These are installed outside in the cockpit area, and the covers we purchased are not compatible with the 6. Despite the fact that the outside of the plastic decorative ring is 7 inches in diameter, the speakers are 5 inches in diameter. So we'll see if we can get these all the way up to the Sub-Divisional level. Whether you want to be in the sun in Florida or not is a matter of personal preference. The only way to know is to wait. It's possible that photographs will be available in the near future. And there's a chance there'll be an update in the future for people who want to live longer in the Florida sun. There aren't many things that can pass that test for an extended period of time, and MSC (Marine Speaker Covers) may be one of them in the future. I'm hoping they fit better than their Chinese counterparts, who are floppy and too big.
These Kicker speakers have a great fit, finish, and sound. They brought the sound system in my Sea Ray to life in a flash. They sound a million times better than the Sony speakers that came with the system. They sound even better when you're out on the water, and your friends and family adore them. There's a lot of bang for your buck here. A++++.
On the mid-section, they appear to be very heavy. Bass and treble are the two parts of the audio spectrum. It helps to boost the midrange while lowering the treble. The good news is that with the right EQ, they can produce excellent sound. I'm a happy camper because these speakers are a huge improvement over the stock speakers in my boat.
They're mediocre at best, and I wouldn't recommend them for a Harley's lower fairing. They might be suitable for use on a boat.
In the golf cart, they sound great and look great.
