Yes and yes again. Waterproof speakers, on the other hand, are more water resistant than waterproof speakers. I wouldn't submerge them in water. They've been on my boat for over a year and are still in good working order.
On my sailboat, I use the 4054s. The diameter of the speaker is measured in inches. The overall diameter (including the grill area) is approximately 5 5/16 inches.

I've bought a lot of speakers over the years, some of them quite expensive, in the hopes of getting good sound in my family room. By far, the $53 I spent on spa speakers was the best money I've ever spent on speakers. br>br>Perhaps the sound quality is due to the fact that I'm in a cedar and plexiglass gazebo with a water floor, and there may be some resonance from the air space beneath the tub, but classical music sounds great in there right now. Turning on the pumps and messing with the sound is something we almost despise doing. br>br>It usually takes a few hours of moderate volume playback before speakers sound good. Right out of the box, these sounded great.
Size is small.
These were purchased to replace the ones in my hot tub that had shorted out. I took out the old ones and replaced them with these, and everything worked perfectly.
For my Beneteau, this is an ideal/exact match. It's just right in terms of size and functionality.
My only complaint is that the provided speaker wire isn't marine grade. Other than that, they're fantastic.
The new speakers were placed next to the old ones. It does not have a bad sound. a prompt delivery.
That sounds fantastic. For the money, you can't beat them. So far, it's been exposed to the elements for about three years and it still sounds fantastic. The exact same speakers that had been in use for over ten years were replaced. They aren't quite as good as Bose, but they have adequate bass and a wide dynamic range.
