I used a Dual Electronics 300 watt 2 channel amp to power these Pyramid/Pyle tweeters, which arrived quickly via Amazon shipping service/Prime. I went through the following steps: adjusting the gain on my device's 10 band equalizer On the amp, there are some crossover settings, but they sound awful. They had a big hit; They do, however, sound muddied/distorted, as others have stated. This is a purchase that I deeply regret. The 3. I've put these Nippon horn tweeters to shame with my 25-inch Nippon horn tweeters. I only had to pay a few dollars. 00 for a three-pair set. To begin, I'll say that they can be made to sound decent, but manufacturing issues are the reason they sound bad when they arrive. The diaphragms are not in good shape! I took them apart, voiding my warranty, but I wanted to see if I could make them sound good as a challenge. The three mounting bumps for the magnet on the horn lens must be shaved down 1/32" or 1mm to come down far enough to tighten the diaphragm, and a small dab of glue must be applied to each terminal tab to completely stop movement. I also added the ferrofluid, which I had assumed was already present, and sharpened the top end significantly! They sound great now, nice, crisp, and loud after all that work. If you want to take it apart, the screws are under the front trim bubble ring, but I think it looks better without it. Thank you for reading, and I hope you found this information useful.
The tweeters are silver because they were ordered too soon. I came across a few that were matte black. They would have been a better match for the interior. I was blown away by the inclusion of a Hz frequency capacitor in case you didn't have a crossover network. 👍 😁.
I used these to upgrade some old Peavey floor monitors, and they sounded four times better than the factory piezos. These babies come with a built-in capacitor, so they're ready to use right away. The mounting screws and hardware that came with it were also excellent. I was blown away by the value for money, as well as the quality of the fit and finish. These items are also quite heavy!.
Great items, I bought four of them in total, one of which was for a speaker I built to extend the highs.
Great . It's a lovely piece of gear to have in your vehicle.
It is necessary to connect these types of speakers correctly. Tweeters are used for music with a wide frequency range. They will sound bad if you connect them without the fuse or whatever it's called. These tweeters are a must-have for all of my clients who order custom speakers from me.
