If you want to remove them, you can do so. Throughout the back there are three or four screws that you can remove, and it will instantly pop

How do you insert these through the grill or through the pop-on speaker in the grill?

I recommend using stainless wood screws through the grill if you're planning to use it on a boat

Although the speakers sound great, they are not true 6 1/2, they are more like a 7 so you will have to open the hole for them to fit, so I did not use them. I have a lot of money invested in the boat and did not feel the need to.

It is worth the money for the strong bass and no distortion at top volume

It has great sound quality, no distortion even at maximum volume. Definitely not intended to be used with most "standard 6" songs. There is a 5-inch screw hole, but it will fit a 6-inch screw hole. A 5" cutout hole was no problem, just needed to drill new screw holes. I used a 3/32" drill and found it simple to do Approximately 30 seconds.

Regardless of whether they're powered by an amp or not, they still sound great. I have never used them previously so I can only wait to see if they last on the SS lake bum!.

It remains to be seen how they hold up on the boat and with their intended Currently, a Taramp AS400X4 is being used to run the system. In some places, there is a difference between a standard 6 and an 8. The speaker is 5" in diameter.

I really like the sound of these and they thump pretty good. As I still have the stock head unit connected, I do not plan to replace it. I am eager to hear how they sound via an amplifier.
