I have a Yamaha, but I'm using a Garmin unit with the cable. RPM, engine temperature, gallons per hour, number of hours on the motor, trim, and tilt indicator are all displayed on the Garmin. You can also make changes based on the GPS unit you're using.
To connect your Lowrance and Yamaha, you'll need a nema cable and a "t" connector.
It's about 25 feet long, I believe. However, I don't recall because, based on my final set-up, I didn't use it. You can run an extension from your NMEA-backbone end tee- even if it's shorter for whatever reason. / tie-off from that point on in

It's fine, but it only gives you a limited amount of information; to get more, you'll need to add a sensor to the engine, but that's fine.
As expected, it performed well.
