This reel is fantastic. It's also not my first. This isn't my first time, nor will it be my last.
I'm not a professional fisherman, but I do enjoy fishing in fresh, salt, and brackish water. This reel has caught a variety of fish, including trout, spot, pan fish, and even a few school stripers.
Works well for surf fishing in Southern California. The live liner is delicate and smooth. It's very simple to feed lines. In contrast to the Spinfisher, the fish can easily pull your line (I calibrated the live liner function and it was still too heavy on the lowest settings possible).
This is a very smooth reel that casts well and has a better liveliner than my 55-dollar Shimano.
