As long as your go9 has an NMEA 2000 interface, you're good to go. My go9 SXE is equipped with an NMEA 2000 interface. I used the adapter for the NMEA 2000 Backbone to connect my Yamaha 06 to my Go9, and now I have access to all of my engine data.
To finish wiring for the transducer and external antenna, you must order the installation kit.
This is how I have it set up. My GPS/Sonar unit is a Simrad GO7. It can show engine information as well as a variety of other information. I have a Merc 150 four-stroke engine. To connect the Simrad to the Engine, I needed to purchase the N2K backbone, as well as a Merc Gateway module that connects directly to the motor and the N2K backbone. My Simrad now displays all of the engine data. A T connector will be required for each individual sensor to connect to the N2K. Trim tabs, fuel gauge sending units, AIS radios, and AM/FM modules, for example, all need to be connected to the N2K in order to be displayed on your GPS unit. I hope this has been of assistance. Good kit. NMEA 2000 (N2K) is almost "plug and play" in terms of functionality. play". If you have other NMEA 0183 devices, Actisense makes "black boxes" that will translate the two systems and allow them to communicate with one another.
Excellent quality. After a year, there are no issues.
