Questions & Answers
Did you put it on your Tiara and see what happened? I have a 2800 coastal with twin inboards and am trying to decide whether I need the 200 or if I can save 1000 by going with the 150.
Yes. I have a 260 Outrage with T225s, and it's fantastic.
I own a 29-foot center console with twin 250 Verado engines and have had no problems with it. My boat is over 8,000 pounds in weight.
It will work if you use the one that comes with the package.

On a 2007 Hewescraft OP220, I installed this. I brought all of my Raymarine gear with me. Raymarine Quantum II radar, Axiom 9, and EV-X Autopilot for 150 people. The P70Rs replaced the second helm on my boat, which had a second steering station. The only issue at first was that the system was bleeding. I placed the pump at the second helm, and I believe the hydraulic lines that ran to the helm and then back to the engine were too long, so I moved the pump to the helm and removed the extra hydraulic lines, and everything appears to be working fine; bleeding was simple. Initially, the system appeared to "hunt" the heading to follow, snaking its way along the course, but that has been adjusted, and it now tracks straight as an arrow. It drifts occasionally, but I'm not confident enough to walk away from the helm, as I'm usually looking for whales and logs. For me, it's enough to give me a few seconds to focus on something else without being too concerned. I like that I can control everything from my phone or my iPad mini, which I use as a second Axiom 9 at the second steering wheel. Trolling is a lot easier now that I can set the parameters that the course computer should follow and drop a line; 2 to 3 mph in open water isn't as dangerous as 30 mph if it decides to do a crazy Ivan and throw me off my feet. Overall, the installation and setup have met my expectations.
I've never had a problem with the way it works. The end result is fantastic. I've had no problems with the product's operation; the only reason it's only getting three stars is because the installation instructions are among the worst I've ever seen. It's obvious that they make the instructions so vague and incomplete that customers, like everyone else in the boating industry, must rely on paying someone else to install it. Fortunately, it can be installed without the use of any special tools. Simply expect to do a lot of internet research to help you with the installation. You'll need some 10 or 12 gauge tinned wire to power the pump, which is not included in the kit.
This seller provided prompt service, and the product arrived on time. Due to the complexity of my wiring, I had this professionally installed, and it's fantastic.
The unit is very simple to set up. The instructions are simple to follow. It was necessary to bleed the pump. Right from the start, it worked. Everything was well-protected in its packaging. There were all the necessary fittings. except for the hoses required for the pump Directions for heading were simple to follow once the machine was started up. It's as simple as that.
Only worked for a few weeks before discovering a loose screw; however, it has performed admirably thus far.
delivered on time as promised.
Installed on two Yamaha 225s with a total length of 26 feet.
