I have no idea where to start. Well, I'm not exactly an audiophile, but I can at least understand the appeal. A high-end computer is one of the things I've owned I have been making high-end headphones for the past 5 years or so and have been trying to get more involved in the industry. Even though it is an expensive hobby to say the least, I have had a dream of owning a dedicated sound system for playing music in a room We thus took the plunge when we saw that the whole speaker set was on sale. Despite its simplicity, Netflix has some stunning Atmos shows, including "Wall-E" and "Mr. Robot". There are titles like Lost in Space that can be played with the new tech, and the sound is incredible. As for music, this system is an excellent choice. The height speakers (paired with the sony receiver, so your mileage may vary) produce a warm, clear sound that easily fills a room with quality Several instruments shine through, with the bookshelf and tower speakers in particular providing the same superb clarity that Sony is known for The style of sound is different. The one complaint I have is that the bass is muddled and not as clear as I'd like it to be. The kind of audio codec you're using, and the acoustics of the room, will determine what is a good setting for you. There is some fabric furniture in my living room that is setup in this way, a large rug, and an irregular concrete tile floor that bounces sound throughout the room. There is an irregular ceiling as well. The receiver I have pumps up bass for Dolby's surround sound rendering, so you can feel it no matter where you sit in the room when you're using the codec. The feeling of thumping engines while watching a movie or TV show is much like that of a high-end movie theater, as you can feel it in your chest while you watch the movie. For music, however, it's not quite the same. There's a noticeable difference in bass clarity after tuning mine to the basic filterless function on the receiver, but it still doesn't measure up to the quality Bass is not something I listen to a lot, honestly - Since I listen to a lot of heavy music, it is no big deal to me, but perhaps consider switching out the subwoofer for something that is may also be that the irregularity of the floor makes it difficult to get a clear sound, so I am not trying to tell you not to buy should certainly give it a try, but you may have to tweak a few things to get it to sound good. The bottom line is that, if you can find these speakers on sale as well as I did, I recommend buying the speakers if you can afford them. Surely you will not regret what an amazing sound they make!.

What a surprise! How great it is to have My old Sony AV receiver was replaced with these great speakers and it completed the package perfectly. In my living room, which is about 18x24 while my ceilings are about 14 feet, there are huge windows. Rooms seem to fill with the sound of these speakers. This pair of speakers has an incredible range of sound. I can hear action scenes and dialogue in both stereo and surround sound. For this low price, these speakers are the best I have ever bought. Philips employed my dad for thirty years before he died. Thirty years after he died I bought this system, feeling a bit guilty, but it looked and sounded so cool in the store! Anyway, I got what was due to me. A hilariously terrible situation. There is no way to adjust sound from left to right or from front to back. Do the speakers have to be moved as advised in the manual? This is insane. I encourage you to purchase it and let me know how you like it.
