Questions & Answers

The AUTO on/off button does not work, according to a reviewer. What if this doesn't work or if this is a defective unit? It is important to me that this feature be available. ?

My subwoofer has been working flawlessly for more than two years and it has auto on and off. The time it takes for a bass signal to reach the device is very short.

What does this subwoofer sound like when you listen to Rather than a massive explosion of audio and video, I'd rather hear a sharp, well-defined audio and visual experience Does bass have a defined definition?

An AV receiver from Denon is being used by me. In order to set up the Audessey sound set up this sub is connected. There is nothing I would rather have done differently. Whether you're listening to music or movie tracks, this sub is excellent. You can knock pictures off the wall elsewhere if that is what you want. The bass is good when this subwoofer is set up correctly.

Can you please tell me what the length and width of the cabinet actually are?

The length is approximately As it turns out, my measurements were 17 14 inches.

Suppose the ports are completely sealed, then what would be the response in terms of frequency? What's the crisis?

Unfortunately, I do not know. There is no such provision in the design. You should leave the one port open since there is only one. It is a good design for a budget. It would be made better by simply sealing it. If that were somehow "better," everyone would do that.

Subwoofers with this type of bass are lacking
3/5

Unless the sub volume is turned up to its maximum, there is little bass. According to this article, I tried using one into two RCA cables via Media Bridge, but it did not make a An RXV-650 Yamaha is equipped with it It was also not possible to return the item because it was hazardous materials. Parts Express? What's the deal with that? I could not find any hazardous materials label on that It has been a delight to shop with Polk Audio! I now own a PSW10 and it is amazing! This applies to both music and surround as well! Dayton Audio's Sub 1200 is often considered to be the best performing sub for the price. However, I would argue that the PSW10 is less money and performs far better. I wish I would have listened to the bad reviews here on Amazon, since I was out the money for this device. I will not buy anything from Parts Express again. Up to date A refund was issued by Parts Express, the vendor who took back the sub. I found them to be very helpful when I called. They are a good vendor and you shouldn't hesitate to get product from them.

It's understandable that you would think What does this deal have wrong with it? The same thought occurred to me as well
5/5

A subwoofer that costs no more than 100 dollars can't be all that good, right? That can't be possible, can it? This is incorrect. The home theater system I have has been in my house Boston Acoustics was the company where I purchased my first subwoofer. Here's the second Velodyne video. It's rather expensive for both of them. Having used the Velodyne for 8 years and it was starting to fail, I looked at other options. My first thought was the same as yours How can this be any good? After reading some reviews, one person pointed me to this product. However, I read the reviews and felt that they were A lot of people will buy it as an impulse buy at this price. To top it off, Dayton offered a 60-day return policy and it took me only seconds to click As far as this unit is concerned, the first thing you notice is that it is There are 46 pounds in the bag. It was too heavy, big and awkward for me to carry, so it had to be rolled across the floor. As soon as you see it, you realize that it's huge. I was used to my 12" Velodyne but this looks much larger. The rest of the device appears to be The sub inputs feature RCA jacks for dual sub inputs and we also offer inputs/outputs for your four corner speakers if you desire. All you need is a volume dial and a crossover dial. Then I played some songs for you. Once I was hooked, I couldn't let go. In addition to watching Man of Steel, I was shocked by the story line. Although the lows were not loud at all, I could still Despite the vibrations, I could feel them in my body. There was no bass like I've heard from my Onkyo receiver before. In summary, I am very pleased with the product I picked. I am sure you will feel the same way.

Subwoofer that delivers great sound on a budget! A budget subwoofer for home theater that I selected after researching is the Dayton SUB-JI09 There have been many great reviews, so it has a rating of 1200
5/5

I intend to replace my current Monoprice 9723 subwoofers which are also known to be good budget subwoofers. A few movies would clip when playing on the Monoprice 9723, which could only go down to 50 Hz. While the Dayton's frequency range is a bit larger, its base frequency is a bit lower. Both the Dayton and the Cannon subwoofers have 12 inch drivers, but the Dayton is a bit better. In the following steps, after setting it up and testing the sound on different 4K movies using Dolby Atmos or DTS When X was compared with X, it was quite different. The Dayton subwoofer definitely shook the room to the ground, the walls and the floors. Neither the Monoprice nor the Daytona clipped when scenes with the Monoprice caused clipping In Jumanji, there is a scene in which the elephant is called "zoology b$tches". As we sat on the floor of the family room, it felt as though we were in a boat The theatre box seat was pretty nice. It was amazing how deep and powerful the bass was! The upgrade amounted to only a minor increase in cost, so I was very happy overall.

You won't believe how badass this thing is
3/5

In fact, yes. **Edit as follows There is a neighbour in another house complaining about the bass -- Those other nonsense reviews that say it is weak are utter nonsense. I have made an edit to the second version. 3 months later, the door began to rattle. Definitely not a good thing. My latest phone will be replaced soon, but I'm frustrated to say the least. After a five-star rating, now only a three.

Baby subwoofers should be avoided at all costs! You can buy it just by clicking on This is one of the best "tactile" subs I've ever heard for an incredible price, and it's at least as good as any small sub below $500 (I've purchased several and heard lots It's bottom ported design allows for easy placement in awkward or small areas because you need not worry about positioning
5/5

Just buy this sub if you haven't experienced a sub that can go down to 20Hz. This is a decision you will not regret.

Lives up to the hype, but fails to deliver
3/5

In the strict sense of adding bass to your system, this sub is only good. It is another matter, however, to determine how good the bass is. REW was used to observe the sweeps, and I found that it drops off significantly at 30hz, so no deep rumbles will be felt The peak is high at 50hz, and there are lots of peaks and nulls throughout the relatively small frequency range in which it plays. In light of the amount of gain needed to achieve 80dB calibration, it appears the amplification was thrown in after the fact. In terms of subwoofers under $200, Polk PSW10 is the best It's best to avoid taking the hype train for.

Is 120$ a reasonable price for a have two of these, and I use them as stand for the lr channels on the front of my TV
4/5

It's been around one month since I owned it. In the past five years, I have listened to music approximately 5,000 times. Play video games practically all day, and watch TV three hours every day. There is a dead spot in the very low end that these subwoofers cannot hit well (down to 30hz). That was the dead spot I was trying to fill, though I was working within a $300 budget due to buying fairly expensive They perform very well in the 50-foot range Even though it appears that they are tuned lower, they are in the 60hz range. Although you will rarely hear clips even while playing the sub at full blast, the amp is well matched to it. Despite the fact that port chuffing is minimal, it is With two of these, you have enough drive to rattle the windows at half the power from a Denon SR-1000 receiver, I promise! Compared to 12" subs, these are pretty quick, playing thrash metal kick drums about 90% in time. I did end up getting a Klipsch reference series 15" to satisfy the 30Hz down itch I have, but for their price, these are amazingly good!.

As a result
3/5

It doesn't seem to hit that hard. I have had a Polk PSW505 12" for 3 years. During my experiment with the amplifier, the board died on me, so I called Polk for a replacement. There is a backorder of 180 dollars. I did not want to wait because I am impatient. As a result of reading some reviews, I bought this instead. I like the way the unit looks, and I am pleased with how it performs. It hits nearly as hard as the Polk, but I have two patio speakers so I need the L/R in and out. It doesn't knock as hard as the Polk does, but I am not unhappy with it. As far as that is concerned, I am If I had known then what I know now, I would have fixed my Polk rather than purchasing this entire unit.
