Since I bought these speakers 8 years ago, they have served me well. Sitting on an outdoor wall is what NYC is all about. Especially when the weather gets windy on the corner patio. In the past few years, these people have been through two hurricanes, two tornadoes, snowmageddon, snowpocalypse, Bloomberg, and de Blasio, as well as The grilles are only now starting to rust. We live in Connecticut. The speakers have never been taken apart and show it on the outside, but they still work at full volume. Because they are not Bose, do not expect the best sound quality, but they are really good and perfect for what they are used Our parties do not have loud music or raging parties. Our family of four is made up of parents with young children who love to hang out in the backyard with friends and family while music plays. Occasionally you can see an adult versus a kid tango - Recently, I was discussing how great these speakers are with my husband when I realized that I have not written a review for them. I am therefore doing so now. It is great to have little speakers like these outside!.

The purpose of these is to add a sound system to my workshop and garage. Despite the negative reviews, I thought that these speakers would be a good choice and they do sound good. The problem I had was that there are two separate threaded inserts that connect the brackets to each speaker (top and bottom). There was no way for the bracket to be attached to the bottom of one speaker because it came from the factory unthreaded. It really didn't matter to me whether I returned them or not, as I wanted to finish the project. A tap is in my home & I need to get water from it How difficult could it really be to add threads if the die is already set up? I guess it doesn't turn out to be so easy after all. In order to thread the insert, I had to pry off the grill to access the woofer. I then unscrewed the woofer, disconnected it, and retrieved the insert. It would not stay in place unless I glued it back in (how original it was fastened), reassembled the speaker and climbed the ladder again, but as soon as I tightened the bracket to the speaker the insert came out Afterwards, I screwed the bottom to the bracket after fastening the top of the speaker to the bracket, removed the woofer again for assembling the insert, and held pliers through the hole in the insert while screwing the bottom into the Once the woofer wires were hooked up, I screwed the woofer back into place, followed by reattaching the grill (from After mounting the speakers, I would say that now that they are mounted, the sound is good, but the quality control (or should I say, lack thereof) and the inconvenience of having to fix it (rather than sending them back and waiting for another delivery) definitely takes away some stars from The NC code is 32.

This is a decent bargain in terms of speakers. Anyhow, you are pretty much stuck with these as your only option for an inexpensive set of outdoor speakers. They are well worth the money. In the next tier we have the yamaha or Klipsch, both of which run around $100 or There is a weakness in the spring loaded terminals on these speakers. My own opinion is that the clips should have been more robust. The clips are spring loaded, which means the terminal button will fall out if you are not careful. The good news is that if this happens, it's easy to put it back in. You may want to follow these suggestions when you connect them 2) Strip a short section of the speaker wire. As if they were "like new" Since I assumed that they would be new, I was under the impression that they were brand My speakers certainly did not sound "like new" at all, and I'm convinced that they are inferior of garbage, even at this price. A price point at which prices are lowest. My Lepai LP-based keyboard was hooked up to a pair of these Additionally, most of the noise that did come out was tinselly and utterly disgusting. I cannot listen to this!

I really hope that I just got a faulty pair since, if I did not, I would be in a very bad position given the positive reviews on this website about these speakers. My experience with the LU43PB speakers may not be representative of each other's, but it should not be surprising since all the LU43PBs have been getting four stars. HE IS BACK!
