I did find mounting them a bit difficult, however. As always, I paid the full amount plus tax for these items and purchased them with my own hard-earned money. My only complaint is that the pear-shaped aquarium was too small for my purposes. The mounting holes on the back of the strips are shallow and aren't deep enough for a regular screw head to fit. The idea caught me off guard, so I had to sit down and consider it for a while. Despite having an extensive screw/bolt/nut/washer collection, NONE of them were suitable for the shallow holes I had in the walls. The only thing that seems to fit would probably be a nail head. The board I was mounting to was tempered hardboard 3/16 inch thick, which couldn't hold a nail either, but was easily accessible from both sides. This allowed me to drill two small holes in the board that matched the mounting holes on the strips, thread a zip tie through one drilled hole in the board, through the mounting hole on the strip, then back through the second drilled hole in the board, and zip it tight. Each time this was done at the end of an individual strip, it was very effective. It's sturdy enough and you can't see the zip ties at all. A larger problem could have appeared if I had been mounting to something such as a sheetrock wall that was accessible from just one side. With these limitations in mind, these power strips are a good value and they do work well. It would be easy to give them a 5 Almost everyone who purchases them has no intention of mounting them. I'm plugged into my wall for the second year in a row now. power outlet and corroded the wire. This was the first time I've ever experienced that with a surge protector. Purchase is not recommended.

The surge protector has never been a source of complaint. There is a black color that is pleasing to the eye, and it works as expected. It is a really good value when you buy both.
