How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

Four steel support columns are finished in a scratch-resistant black powder coat. As a result, a rigid platform with a satin finish that is easy to clean and resists scratches and scuffs has been created.
Rectangular Columns: For the best vibration dampening, fill all four support piers with sand or steel shot. This will help to eliminate any unwanted vibrations or resonances that can color the sound and reduce fidelity.
Adjustable Spikes: Each stand includes adjustable spikes that pierce your carpet and isolate the stand and your speaker from vibrations and resonances on the floor.
With Monoprice's Lifetime Warranty, you can buy with confidence knowing that we stand behind our products and our customers. In addition, we provide a 30-day money-back guarantee! Return the item for a complete refund if it does not meet your expectations.
Monoprice's rugged design and strict quality control standards ensure that high-quality products are delivered at reasonable prices.

Questions & Answers

What are the top and bottom platform dimensions? If you don't provide this information, no one will know if these are appropriate stands. ?

Top: br>Bottom: 5 x 6 inchesbr> 12 x 9. 5 inches

Is it possible to connect the speaker by threading the speaker cable from the floor through the stand and out the top?

No, but if you know how to use a drill and thread needles well, you might be able to pull it off. Alternatively, you can simply hide your cable with black cable ties on the back uprights.

How thick are the spikes' threads? To protect my floors, I'll be replacing them with furniture leveling feet. Protective cups aren't your thing?

I believe only the manufacturer would be aware of this, and I apologize for not being able to respond.

Is the thread size on these spikes M8 or M6? I'd like to replace the stock spikes with better aftermarket spikes. ?

Based on the response above, I ordered M6 rubber pads. For my stands, M6 is far too small.

Stands that are built to last
5/5

The Elac Debut B6 speakers are a perfect match. To support my Elac Debut B6 speakers, I bought two of these stands. In my normal seated position, the 24" height puts my speakers at an ideal listening height. They're made of a sturdy material. a heavy-duty powder steel with a protective coating It's almost as if these stands were made to match the size and finish of the Elac B6s. Using a standard Phillips screwdriver (for the base screws) and the included Hex key (for the top plate screws), I was able to unpack and assemble each stand in about 20 minutes. With just my fingers, I was able to secure the spike feet. br>br>On their own, the four hollow bars that make up the center column are quite resonant. I bought a 25-pound bag of unscented kitty litter from a discount store. $3 for a litter 75 from a nearby store) and stuffed them into each of the holes. The cat-like creature Each stand gained about 10 pounds of litter, making them feel very heavy. I highly recommend filling the stands with dry sand or cheap heavyweight kitty litter to make tapping on them sound like tapping on solid granite. br>br>I spent $2 on some higher-quality vinyl/rubber feet. To isolate the top plate from my speakers, I spent $50 on an upgrade. I was underwhelmed by the "rubberized top pads" that came with the stands. Finally, I secured my speaker wires to one of the posts with some black Velcro straps I had lying around. This effectively hides the wires and serves as a wire-management solution. br>br>I strongly recommend these stands to anyone in need of heavy-duty stands for bookshelf speakers of a larger size. My purchase has made me extremely happy.

Speaker stands that are extremely durable
5/5

These things are incredibly durable. These were purchased to house my KEF LS50s. For the LS50s, KEF offers $400 stands. That, however, is absurd. I started with the 26" PERLSMITH universal speaker stands, which are shaky in comparison. br>br>I went through a series of steps to improve them. About ten pounds were gained. to stop any resonating from the square tubes with unscented clay kitty litter To keep the bottom bolts from vibrating loose, I bought some 5/16" stainless lock washers. Because I have wooden floors, I decided to replace the spikes on the bottom with Lenshade 5/16" stainless floor leveling feet. On the bottoms of the feet, I also used heavy-duty felt pads. To reduce vibration, I put some Dynamat on the underside of the bottom plate. ringing. br>br>The bottom line is that I got some great stands, improved them, and made them even better. I was able to save a significant amount of money to put towards a Tidal streaming subscription. I would strongly suggest it. The Perlsmiths will most likely be used as Sonos surrounds or plant stands.

This is a 2 because I don't like it
3/5

A five-star rating. br>It appears to be more solid than it is in practice; for example, even after mass loading columns with sand, it is not completely rigid with a 35 lb 22" tall speaker (photo). Wiggle can be easily induced by placing one finger on the top of the cabinet. Well, I suppose you get what you pay for. br>br> Is it a good investment? Yes, I'm aware of no better commercial product at this price. br>br>The 30-year-old Target stand next to it is, in my opinion, a much better design, with a much wider "footprint," very rigid construction, and lighter weight.

Stands for my ELAC speakers that are sturdy and stable
5/5

I spent a lot of time on the internet looking for stands to support my ELAC Debut 2. 0 B6. There are two people who speak. Based on previous reviewer feedback, I chose a pair of Monolith 24" stands, and I'm very pleased with them. For these speakers, the stands provide a stable and sturdy perch. Some reviewers suggested using sand ballast in the stand legs or adhesive goo (on the top plate) to keep the stands from sliding around on my wood floor. For the spiked feet, I purchased dimpled metal casters. The feet on the stands can be easily adjusted for leveling. On all sides, the speakers protrude about an inch beyond the top plate of the stand. The stand-speaker combination appears to be a little top-heavy in the photo, but it is extremely stable. The dimensions of the speaker base and the bottom base of the stand are nearly identical. Perhaps this explains the stand-speaker system's sturdiness. With the spiked feet, the stand was simple to put together. The stand's top plate is 26" above the floor and it has casters.

The Perfect Stand is a fantastic, sturdy stand that is still as good as new after six months of use
5/5

In these, I'm using Wharfedale 225. I added extra weight to the stands by filling them with coarse aquarium gravel (25lb bag) (probably a little pricey, but I didn't want to deal with anything messier in my apartment). br>br>These are VERY sturdy and heavy. My cats occasionally jump on top of the speakers, but they're stable, so I couldn't knock it over unless I got a head start. Because the top plate isn't particularly large or grippy, I used four pieces of blue tack to keep it in place. br>br>Because the bottom seemed like it might scratch my wood floor, I used felt pads on it, but I wouldn't need anything else for carpet or scratch-resistant surfaces. tenacious br>br>The speakers are excellent, and the stand does not vibrate or resonate in any way. Overall, I'm very pleased, and given the quality, I doubt I'd ever buy a more expensive stand; this one does everything I need!.

Speaker stands that are excellent
5/5

The aquarium sand was used to fill the four columns, making the stands extremely heavy. A total of 15 pounds was required for two stands. They're remarkably steady. It's critical to get stands that are the right height. The manufacturer recommends that the KEF LS50s be used at a maximum height of 22". The bottom of the speakers, however, is not properly cushioned by the top plate. On the top plate, I placed three strips of Blu Tack-like material, followed by a cushioning layer of plastic packing sheet and three more Blu Tack-like strips. Of course, the sheet had to be cut to fit the top plate. To my ears, putting the speaker on top of it produced better results. Bottom line: excellent stands; however, the top plate may not be the best surface for speakers to sit on on its own.
