I purchased this and returned it to Amazon because I was unable to connect my Samsung TV digital audio output to a Pyle amplifier via coaxial cable input. I tried using the digital to coaxial cable, but it didn't work at all.
Yes, I had to do this in order for my wireless headsets to function. Check your TV's sound settings; you might be able to convert it simply by changing a setting.

Very good - There is no background noise - make a mental note of - This device is powered by a USB cable. There is no need for a transformer. From the TV to my Sennheiser wireless headphones, I've been using it a lot. The conversion of fiber optic to analog sound is crystal clear.
This worked and did everything it said it would for a low price with Amazon speed and customer service; however, if your output doesn't have a volume control, you won't be able to adjust volume, which is why I ended up buying a similar product that was much more expensive and had a volume knob built in.
Sound quality is average, and there is no way to change the inputs. For a couple of reasons, this small dac falls short of other small dacs. To begin with, the output volume is low (this cannot be used as a source for a 2. Because the subs require a higher signal power, a single RCA splitter system is used. Second, if you connect something to the optical input, you won't be able to use the coaxial output. To use the coaxial input, you must first remove the toslink cable. Finally, even when compared to an average priced pc (motherboard board/b350f strix), the sound quality is not impressive and is stomped by the fio dac. Overall, the best reason to get this is because it comes with a 3 ft toslink cable for only $6, which is a steal considering this dac is only $10.
This item solved my issue by allowing me to connect my old PYLE soundbar to my new TCL television. The Toslink connections appear to be very loose and just hang there, which is why I gave it four stars instead of five. There is no snap clip or anything to give you the impression that you are connected. Furthermore, the red light emitted by the connection wire makes you wonder about the quality of the connection. Because I am hard of hearing, I cannot comment on the sound quality produced by this connection, but I can say that it works!.
Then I hooked up the receiver with an analog RC audio cable (not included). Everything is in working order.
I recently purchased a set of Logitech z506 5 wireless headphones. Surround sound speakers with only one channel and no way to connect them to my television. Many reviews and forums on the speakers claimed that they couldn't be connected to a television. Those who said they could only get stereo sound, not surround sound, said they were able to do so. I was able to get the surround sound I wanted by using this audio converter box. Simply connect the coaxial cable to the back of your television and the converter box to the other end. Then you'll need a 2 male/2 male RCA cable (available here: ). and connect one end to your subwoofer and the other to the converter box. Then, with your speakers and TV turned on, you'll have crystal clear 5. There is only one surround. br>br>I was able to avoid purchasing unnecessary cables and equipment because of this product. I would give this product a ten out of ten rating and would purchase it again.
I bought it to use with wireless headphones while watching TV. It was simple to put together, small enough to hide and keep out of sight, and it arrived quickly.
When I used the optical out from my LG TV, my Samsung surround sound would cut out. It turns out that a lot of newer televisions have optical outputs that can do this. The problem is solved when you use this device to convert it to RCA. I'm no longer able to listen to surround sound without pausing.
