Selected User Reviews For Portable Sony CD Player Boombox Digital Tuner AM/FM Radio Mega Bass Reflex Stereo Sound System
My long-distance relationship ended just a few weeks ago. When the Sony CD boombox finally died (more on that later), it was time to say goodbye. I sprang into action right away: I went to Amazon and searched for "Sony CD boombox," which led me to this page. I ordered it without hesitation based on the majority of positive reviews. "Sony Portable CD Player Boombox Personal Audio System ZS-"br>br>"Sony Portable CD Player Boombox Personal Audio System ZS-"br>br>"Sony Portable CD Player Boombox Personal Audio PS50" is much more than just a CD player, but that is the feature that I value the most. When it arrived, I immediately took it out of the box and set it up in under a minute. One of the first things I noticed was how much thinner the sound was than with my previous Sony CD boombox. There are no controls for changing the treble or bass (increase or decrease, as desired). If you look at the product description on Amazon, it claims to have "Mega Bass," but this is simply not the case: There is no such thing as a Mega Bass button. It's also worth noting how much lighter this Sony CD boom box is than the previous one. Last but not least, this set comes without a remote control. The set also includes AM and FM radio, as well as the ability to play MP3s (which I have yet to try). br>br>To summarize, this Sony boombox is functional, but it pales in comparison to the Sony boombox I previously owned in every way. That one was fantastic for a group of more than 20 people (!). ) years, though only on a seasonal basis. It's possible that this new Sony CD boom box is the best you can get these days, which only emphasizes how much product quality has declined over time.
I previously owned a Sony Boombox and was very pleased with it. This one is of lower quality, and when a CD is played, the CD player's lid rattles. I've tried weighing the lid down during use to stop the rattling, which is quite audible, but it's not working. (Because I've only used it with the power cord, I can't comment on battery life. ).
To replace my old Bose wave, I bought this "kind of low-cost radio!" There isn't one. However, because this radio lacks backlighting, you can't see the clock or which CD or USB track is playing without a flash light. After about a week, the CD player stopped working, and shortly after that, the USB port stopped working. A complete waste of time. money, thankfully it broke before the return policy expired, so I received a prompt refund; now I just need to find a decent radio without spending a lot of money on another Bose; most radio reviews appear to be negative, as if they're all junk nowadays.
This was delivered to me yesterday. Everything is written in Spanish, and the box is clearly labeled as being intended solely for the Mexican market. Being sold on the black market in the United States. It's unclear whether it'll work on American radio stations. On Christmas Day, we'll find out. I got up and went to the door when I saw the driver pull up, only to see him throw the keys against the door and fall to the ground. I told him what he was doing was wrong. He simply walked away, climbed into his van, and left. The radio came in its original Sony factory box, not an Amazon protective cardboard box. Prime is new to me, and I'm not impressed so far.
All of the features work as expected, and the sound quality is adequate. The digital FM tuner and Aux input for playing music from our phones are two of my favorite features. The lack of a cord storage bin and a lack of station presets are both major drawbacks.
For my apartment, I required a small, portable CD player. It works and sounds great, and it's very simple to use.
Sony is (was) a great brand, and I really wanted this to be the last CD player I bought because I'm still stuck in my ways when it comes to playing physical media. First and foremost, figuring out how to register the product was impossible - Every time I tried, the information I provided was rejected. Second, two weeks after the warranty had expired, the CD player stopped working. Is it just a fluke? I'm guessing that's why it's so difficult to register for the warranty: they were aware that the product could fail. The small size, portability, and sound quality were all very nice when it was working, but after a year, it was a dud. I've owned a lot of Sony products. I only used it twice a week for a few hours during the week to unwind. Nobody enjoys spending $90 on a product that is only used once in a while and then being unable to repair it. Disappointed that a well-known figure has been omitted from the list of nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize In the long (actually, short) run, the well-known brand name has proven to be unreliable.
No good.
