Customers who were listening to Sirius XM on their TTR1 Radios, for example, have been disconnected, and their TTR1 Radios are now doorstops, as they will no longer be able to play music or news programs. As of March 31, 2021, Sirius/XM will no longer be able to use TTR1 radios, so I just wanted to double-check that I had asked the question before purchasing the TTR2. Online listening is available as part of an All Access subscription or as an add-on for lower-level packages. You can also choose to only listen to music over the internet. In a small package, there's a lot of sound. If you're an audiophile, it might disappoint you, but I think most people who listen to music or talk radio will be satisfied. It appears to completely engulf the space. Wi-Fi connectivity has been mentioned in other reviews as a problem. That hasn't been an issue for me, but my radio is only about a foot away from the WIFI access point - It's possible that the receiver isn't as strong as it could be. The initial setup is a little tedious because you have to go through the entire alphabet/numeric with a knob control to log into your account, but it's only a one-time thing. The only "problem" I've had is that every few days, the audio will cut out and a message will appear stating that playback has been halted because the account is logged in on another device; I listen to SiriusXM through the phone/tablet app while working out, which I believe is causing the problem. It starts right up again if I walk over and press play, or if I use the remote to do the same, and it only happens if I listen to the app again. Nothing major has happened. Ten presets appear to be sufficient for your favorite channels, and scrolling through them with the knob control is simple. The ability to pause and resume currently running programs, as well as access on-demand content. Also, if you change channels, it will automatically return you to the beginning of whatever song is currently playing, so you won't be interrupted in the middle of a song. If all you need is a Sirius player, this is an excellent choice. There are a few minor issues to be aware of. With only occasional use, I've had to restart it once a week. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> One star is being taken away. The device must be rebooted on a daily basis. Most of the time, the tuning button does not register presses, and it appears to be plagued by software and performance issues, so I would not recommend it at this time.
It stopped working recently. I discovered the TTR2 and it is a vast improvement over the previous model. This new model has left me very impressed. The TTR2 represents a significant improvement in design. Even though there is only one speaker, the sound quality is adequate. I took it out of the box and was able to get it up and running without any issues.
I was hoping to see another one come out once they stopped working reliably. I was ecstatic to see the new TTR2 model, which is significantly improved over the previous model. Yes, setting it up with the dial turning so much for letter input is tedious, but what can you expect without a keyboard? It isn't as bad as some people claim on here, but I had two of the older ones that did the same thing and got used to it. Even if it's done with a dial, this is a faster way to get that information into the radio. br>br>The sound quality is excellent for its size, and I anticipate wearing out the two new TTR2s as well. It's a lot easier to work with just having a full-color, full-graphic display. It's a lot less work than attaching a small regular Sirius radio to a dock with speakers and orienting the antennae so you can get direct satellite signals. That's something I used to do a lot before the TTR1 came out. NO MORE! br>br>By the way, Grace Digital did a fantastic job with the design! Congratulations on yet another fantastic Grace creation!!.
