Questions & Answers

Is the brightness function no longer available from Sangean? When the radio is turned off and the cord is plugged in, I can't find a way to turn off the clock. ?

There were no options to change the display, as far as I recall - However, if it is powered by an ac adapter, the clock appears to be on all the time.

With this internet radio 2, which band should I use for internet connection? Is it better to use a 4Ghz or a 5Ghz network?

LTE (2.) is available to me. It works fine at 6 Ghz.

Please assist me in connecting the Sangean 28 to the Frontier website. Are you unable to locate the required access code?

I'm afraid I don't know because I've never been able to do it before. Pay close attention to the instructions. Put your best foot forward.

Is it possible to use it with a 220-volt power supply? Is there a 240-volt power supply?

I guess - In the United States, the power source is an ac adapter that converts 110 volts AC to 6 volts DC. I assume that if you buy it in a country that uses the 220/240 system, it will come with the appropriate adapter - It's also powered by four "D" cell batteries.

Sorry for the inconvenience: It's not a good idea to buy it
3/5

Sangean is a brand that I enjoy. On FM, their table radios have good reception and sound. The Sangean Internet Radio, on the other hand, is something I regret purchasing. It was a little difficult to connect at first, but once I did, it worked flawlessly. for a short period of time It would then refuse to connect to my router. I spent a day tinkering with it and calling customer service, who informed me that it would need to be returned for service ($8 service fee, $26 shipping). After about ten days, I received my radio, which had the same issues as before. After another hour on the phone with customer service, they've finally agreed to send me a UPS return card and a new, not refurbished, radio. Let's see how things turn out. We'll also see if it works, and if it does, how long it works, given the numerous other cautionary reviews. Too bad: The concept of an internet radio station appeals to me. theoretically speaking br>br>Recent changes: br>br> A new radio was shipped to me. I believe it was brand new and not refurbished, but I'm not certain. In any case, it suffers from the following flaws: It simply will not maintain an internet connection. I've attempted to connect to two different routers with no success. With neither, I had no luck. This radio should be avoided. br>br>.

Overall, the design is fantastic

APART from that. A double- It would be beneficial to have a large viewing screen. When the radio is turned on, the FONT SIZE may be four. If the devils ate their morning gruel, it would be a different story. When the radio is on, reading the script or keeping track of time becomes nearly impossible. br>br>The time font should be displayed in 4x on this screen. (The clock font size is perfect when the radio is turned off. )br>br>Another delightful feature would be to provide a screen that could be dimmed to reduce the risk of a station LOGO giving one the brightest-of-the-brightest-of-the-brightest-of-the-brightest-of-the-brightest-of-the-brightest-of-the-brightest-of-the-brightest-of- evil-white As one wakes up, one's eyes are opened. br>br>Forget about the sweltering light on the screen right now. the- end- a tunnel connected to a near-future event The experience of death. As someone tries to sleep, this can be VERY TERRIFYING. Because when one is half-deaf, it is difficult to think clearly. It's impossible to tell if the VERY SCARY LIGHT is real or not when you're deep into The Dreamies. (And, no, I don't get Tunnel Vision when I'm awake or sleeping. ) )br>br>Apart from that, I would easily give this radio a FIVE-STAR rating. STARS. Particularly the set-up. set up a procedure and keep track of ergonomics.

But it's not perfect
3/5

The radio must be unplugged and rebooted after being put into sleep mode. When you wake it up from sleep mode, it won't reconnect to any of the stations you've programmed, even though they'll appear on the screen. It's a good internet radio station if you know what you're getting into and can live with it. br>br>Then there's the strange fact that the charging light flashes after you turn off the radio, even if you only used it for a second. Why is it charging when the device has been plugged in and the batteries have been charged, and you haven't unplugged it or run it on batteries? br>br>Apart from that, it's a good deal. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: I went to bed as soon as I finished writing the preceding paragraph. It worked fine in the morning, so I'm not sure why there's a problem connecting to so many stations; it's strange. br>br>OK, I'll edit it again. The inability to connect to stations is sporadic and unpredictable. To begin, turn off the radio. Remove it from the power supply. Replace the plug. Turn the display back on after a few seconds, when the time appears on the screen. Wait for it to establish a connection to the Internet. You're ready to go now that you've chosen your station. It's a pain in the arse, but it's only a few minutes long.

Expect nothing resembling a "normal radio
3/5

" It appears that there are a number of issues with the internet radio service, as the digital systems involved are prone to failures that can disrupt the radio's overall operation. It's possible to keep things running by using periodic "reboots" (power on - power off) that rely on phantom factors. power off), as well as other tenacious control maneuvers. As previously stated, the device's exclusive line out audio quality is excellent, and it performs admirably.

Fix the issue with the battery insertion
5/5

This is a fantastic radio with fantastic audio. There are two topics that you should be aware of. Yes, Spotify is available, but you must pay for it. The free app isn't working properly. It's impossible to fit the last rechargeable battery into the battery compartment. I used 10000 ma EBL size D batteries and was able to get them in far enough to power the radio after pressing and pushing, but I couldn't close the battery "door. " What to do, what to do, what to do, what to do, what to do, what to do, what I removed the radio's last battery and applied a thin layer of lubricant gel (KY) to each end of the battery and the radio's contact point with a finger or cotton tip. I tried everything I could think of, but I couldn't get anything to work. The gelled battery was then popped into place with a rubber mallet. Done! The battery cover was easy to close. Best of luck, and take care not to harm your radio or battery. You do so at your own risk. For me, it was successful.

Didn't Live Up to Expectations I had my eye on this for a long time and finally decided to purchase it
3/5

I was completely let down. Although the user interface is a little clumsy, it is functional. The FM radio worked well, but it took about 10 seconds to "boot up" before you could use it. The fact that it runs on rechargeable batteries is appealing, but the D cells are a tight fit. It took a lot of effort to get them in there. br>br>The fact that it couldn't stay connected to my super-fast WiFi was the deal-breaker. I was also having trouble getting it to work with the Android mobile app, which could have mitigated the UI issues; I might have eventually gotten it working, but I didn't take the time after the connectivity issues. br>br>Unfortunately, it's now on its way back to Amazon.

Even in 2021, it's still fantastic
5/5

There is a learning curve to be aware of. I've never had access to an internet radio station before. On internet radio, it sounds fantastic and is crystal clear. The AM/FM tuner is comparable to that of other tabletop radios. I purchased this for my office, which is completely deaf to all of my radios due to RF noise interference. This is unequivocal. I'm pleased with my purchase and plan to make another for my home. The Undok app makes it a lot easier to find stations and travel around the world with this radio.
