The charging port on Skullcandy's Sesh Evo is on the back of the case, allowing you to charge while sitting on any surface!

Thank you for contacting Skullcandy; however, the Sesh Evo does not have an ambient mode or a hear-through feature.

I'm let down
3/5

The battery life isn't quite what it claims to be. After comparing a number of bluetooth earbuds, I decided on the Skullcandy Sesh Evo because I liked the color and the in-line microphone. design of the ears The sound quality was adequate for running, and they were comfortable and resistant to sweat and water. I liked that I could use either or both of the earbuds at the same time, and that they came with a two-year warranty. A one-year warranty is included, as well as Tile tracking. These are the only positive aspects of these earbuds that I can think of, and they don't outweigh the drawbacks. br>br>Unfortunately, the battery life does not live up to expectations. They come in a charging case that loses power constantly unless it is plugged in all the time. (If I forgot and left it unplugged overnight, I'd have to wait until the next day to charge them. ) Even when fully charged in the case, the earbuds do not last the advertised 5 hours. It's more along the lines of 20-percentage-points. 30 minutes (and this is only after a month of ownership/use). I'd hate to have to rely on these when I'm on the road. br>br>Call quality is another annoyance. People on the other end of my calls complain about how difficult it is to hear and how choppy it is. I also discovered that my call-receiving sound was mediocre. br>br>I had intended to keep these for running/walking, but I am returning them.

It was disappointing

They appear to be good at first, but after one charge, the battery dies completely and is no longer able to charge. They are not worth the money.

It's not going to cost you anything

The right earbud dies due to a lack of battery life. UPDATE: Yes, I've had issues with the right earbud not charging or staying charged. Useless. br>br>I thought the whole point of a battery case was that you put your earbuds in it and they're charged when you take them out. Isn't it simple? You might believe that. But no, I've put the buds in their charging case far too many times, which indicates that they're still at least 3/4 charged. Open up. Turn off the red lights. Remove the earring and insert them into the ear canal. Either they shut down immediately or I hear "low battery" and they shut down after five minutes. My iPhone even said it was fully charged, but it wasn't. It was a waste of time and money.

Make sure you don't throw your money away
3/5

When I first got these, I was very happy because they fit perfectly in my ears, were light weight, and charged quickly. However, that all changed because one side will work one minute and then not the next, they don't stay connected, and there are gaps in my music at times. Also, the charging case is very sensitive, so I have to keep an eye on it to make sure the ear buds are charging. Unfortunately, they didn't even last 6 months before I started having problems with them. Due to the failure of the charging case, I have reduced my rating to one star.
