I NTEREST IN DIFFERENT QUALITIES OF THE SAME PRODUCT. It was the first time I bought one, and the quality of the first product was good enough to satisfy me. They have a different quality for the same product. In addition, I bought a second one for my brother a month later. After the new one arrived, I found out it is very low quality and doesn't work and has so many problems. My brother noticed that the call answering button was on the left cord rather than on the right. I checked the new one and found it had a lot of problems.
Sadly, the latest batch is a completely different product. Either Panasonic has cut corners on production or these are cheap fakes (likely). These are plugged directly into my electronic drum kit and I am not even able to hear the bass sound of the kick drum. My kit sounded worse than before, so I tried an older pair of these and listened to the sounds, not just the bass, but also the fullness and richness of the sounds. I think it's a shame that Amazon is doing nothing about counterfeiters. This site's positive reviews are outdated and of no value.
I was not able to return them through Amazon if they were defective. The sound in my right ear kept going out in both ears when I tried to listen to them. As I attempted to return them on Amazon, I learned it was not possible to do so even though I had just purchased them a few days prior. Instead, the Panasonic customer support number was given to me when I asked for help. I was disconnected twice from Panasonic customer support before I was transferred to the correct party. that these headphones were only $8, but it's the intent of it that they make you go through all of these hoops to return a defective product. Normally Amazon returns items quickly with little effort. I assume that I received a defective pair, given all of the positive reviews. *BIG UPDATE In order to return a Panasonic product, I called Panasonic. Initially, they said my eight-dollar earbuds would need to be sent to them and they had to fix them before I could get them back. As it would cost at least that much to ship them in the first place, I'm very disappointed. At the moment, I am not a fan of Panasonic. If I ever buy any Panasonic headphones again, I won't.
Upon seeing the number of positive reviews for these earphones, I purchased a pair when they were released in December 2017. It has been my experience that I have tried several times to use the live chat support feature on the Panasonic website, but I couldn't use it as there were no employees online at that time (no matter what time My next step was to call their 1-800 number I called the 888 support number and the first thing the automated message warned me about was that I could be charged In light of the fact that I did not know if the earphones were still covered under a limited warranty, I chose to just hang up, write off my money spent, and order a second pair from Amazon. My company received the goods on January 25, and I was pleased with the outcome. While watching a homework video, the right earphone spontaneously shorted out and ceased to function less than two weeks later. I called Panasonic again thinking that this time the product must be covered under some warranty since it has not even been 2 weeks old yet. An e-mail was sent to me by the customer service rep I was mailed instructions on how to submit proof of purchase for both pairs, and I received an email with that information later on Please send a return mail with instructions on how to ship In their statement, they said that I was only permitted to ship the product in one specific type of corrugated cardboard container, that the container had to be of a certain size, and that I would need to pay additional charges such as shipping, tracking, and insurance of the product. They refused to guarantee that they would send me two new pairs to replace the two broken ones since the total amount for shipping was more than THREE pairs of headphones. In my experience, this has been the worst purchase experience I've ever had with Amazon . The fact that I been unable to conduct my return directly through Amazon, where I would receive a replacement or a refund, but instead had to go through Panasonic, and I am still not sure if Panasonic will honor its warranty and send me two new pairs, disappointed and frustrated me. According to the positive reviews for these earphones, it appears that I was just unlucky (twice) with defective pairs, however, if you are lucky enough to have received defective pairs, you can count the money you spent as wasted given the hassle and inadequate customer service.
