Not at all. Unless you check them often, you will only learn if your batteries need to be charged when the app tells you it hasn't checked in for a few days. A new update is available on the 29th. It's definitely not working. The keys I needed were not in my pocket when I was on vacation. It turned out that my keys were right in my purse which I had in my hand. I opened the app, which had been running in the background, and pressed to find my keys, but it said that it couldn't find them. My proximity to the bird was only inches, so I was not far from it. Once I found them in the zippered compartment of my bag, I was in shock, thinking that I had dropped my keys in the garbage. There was no call from them! I'm not sure why I keep this on my keys in the first place. My Original Review When I first saw these Tiles with the app I was excited to try them because I wanted to have a way to find our keys, etc. I downloaded the app to my iPhone and set it up fairly easily. At first everything went well. When I went to find the keys that were right beside me, the tile app said that they were out of range. I let it sit for a minute and then looked in the app to find the keys. Okay, that's not good at all. I was looking through the app for a while and then it just began functioning As far as I know, I do not have any problems with other devices connected via Bluetooth, so I found this strange. While downloading the app on my iPad to see if it would find my phone I received an error message which stated there was an unexpected error when I tried to call it. My assumption was that it would send the same tone to my phone that I would receive if I double clicked on the tile. In its message, the call seemed to indicate that it was trying to call my phone, but I am not sure how it could do that since I never gave out As a precaution, I deleted the app from my iPad in case it was confusing having it on two devices at the same time. A feature was available where you could send a link to your PC, but it also did not work. A place for entering my phone number is not available. have deleted and reinstalled the app, but the find my phone thing just fails like that. The only way to make it work is to click twice on either of the actual tiles. While I was sitting here, I double pressed the tile button but my phone did not ring. As I checked the app, it was running in the background. In addition to the first set of tiles, I have purchased a second set. My first set worked until the battery died, then wouldn't power on. When I replaced the battery, the first set stopped working. My hope is that these will work as well as the second set. In the first case, it worked, while in the second, it didn't.

A couple of weeks ago, I bought a Tile Pro and affixed it to my new set of keys after my originals went missing. My apartment seemed a little out of sync with it as far as activating it from my phone, but I trusted that it would work if I lost my keys at home in the future. The product is cool, but there are a couple of issues I want to bring to your attention. 1) compared to the previous model, it is very easy to scratch it. There is a lot of wear and tear on it. After purchasing the 2 pack of Tile, I set them both up and ensured they worked properly, but after doing so, I tried them again 2 minutes later and both my phone and my wife's phone rang when triggered by my Tile. I did the same to my wife later on. As there is no way to completely delete everything and start from scratch, the Tiles have been returned. Due to the fact that other people are happy, I presume I did something incorrectly. If I lose anything I'll save the $60 to look for it when I lose it, just like I've done for years.
