I purchased this charger to charge my Kindle Paperwhite. Amazon makes it appear that it requires the official Kindle charger for $20 when in reality it uses a standard 5W, 1A adapter. As always, this one worked perfectly for me, and did no harm It is very convenient to have the USB port on top.
