I'm guessing you used a charger that was either higher than 5W/1A, or significantly higher than the most low-power chargers. You would then use ANY other adapter (such as the USB port on your television to power your FireTV Stick) to charge your discount device. If you have the patience to wait for one of Amazon's 30 sales a year on its electronic devices, you can get a new, better Kindle for as much as $20 off, and do that as often as you like. I think this could very well be THE most overpriced item on Amazon, but you'd have to check out their entire line of Amazon Basics, in order to know for They only sell garbage that is overpriced.

I use this usb charger instead of my usb charger plug ins for my iPad, iPad mini, and Samsung Galaxy S4. What are the differences?

In comparing the two, the iPad charger is 12W, while the iPhone charger is 5W. There is a 2V and a 2V. Accidentally plugging an Android phone into the charger of an iPad fried one of my phones. Taking this into account, I recommend using the iPad charger with care. It is okay to use the iPhone charger in place of the charger.

You can use any android phone with this type of adaptor, and if you have a kindle it comes with the cord so you could use your computer as well even though it is not as fast as that.

The device works fine but the price is ridiculous, especially when you consider that the cable to connect with it is not included. $20 for a $5 item is unjustifiable. Please include the cable with the $99 fee. The result is a 3 out of 5 rating.

This product does what it says it will do

My imagination, however, does not allow me to imagine why. This product does what it says it will do. The Kindle does not come with it, however, and I fail to see why Amazon would do that. There is no other product in my knowledge that does not include an item that is essential to the product's function. This should be available with the Kindle from Amazon. Therefore, you need to add the price of one of these to the price of the Kindle in order to get the "real" price. The reason I gave it three stars is because of this. It's time for Amazon to stop misleading its Kindle customers.

While I suppose that the OEM product is worth more than the generic equivalent, this price is prohibitive. I purchased a similar product for my Amazon Fire from Walmart for about $3.

ridiculous is it that one must separately punch in the charger to recharge a Kindle. Until now, I have not seen a high-priced item with the ability to be recharged. Amazon fails to deliver an epic fail.

It is unnecessary to purchase this As my son had received the kindle for Christmas, I gave him this item along with it and he deemed it completely unnecessary as the kindle comes with a charger that plugs directly into the The kindle battery might prove useful if you take long trips (the kindle is designed to last for weeks), but I don't think so

A $19 and a $19 are similar, but they are different. I ordered a $99. 98 Amazon 5W USB Official OEM Charger and Power Supply, besides the $5 Bonus. An AC power supply with 95 volts, 1 amp (1000 mA) for USB ports is available for $95. 00. Does it have the UL listing? - AB A $14. 30 bill. It makes no difference whether it is referred to as a 5W charger or as a 5V 1A charger.

There is a problem with the charger, which no longer stays securely attached to the Paperwhite. Charging will only take place if it is held at the right.
