I was looking for a USB C to SD Card Reader and found it at Starware. This is an excellent build for the design and the My favorite thing about this reader is that it is small, which makes carrying it around very convenient for me. As well as I can easily transfer photos to my phone or my computer to share or to save. It is easier and faster to mount a phone as a drive than to use a cable. You can just plug it in and it starts working. Upon connecting the reader to my laptop, my laptop immediately recognized the device, and there was no lag or issues reading the card. This reader has the ability to simultaneously read and write to 2 SD cards. If you're looking for something small that you can bring along to read SD and micro SD cards, then this is definitely the device for you.

In order to transfer the photos from our Google Pixel 3 phones to our computers, my wife and I used this card reader. This was a very simple and straightforward reader to use as you might expect. The microSD card in the adapter was inserted into our phones and we then used a SanDisk Ultra 16 GB card. With both the Pixel 3 and 3 XL phones, the SD card was immediately recognized as a USB drive. Moving photos was as simple as dragging them to the USB drive, and the files were transferred virtually instantly. As soon as we had connected the SD card to our computers, the task was complete. You can see in the first two pictures that I've attached, that the reader fit into the Pixel 3 phone with just a tiny gap between it and its No gap was visible between the Pixel 3 XL reader and the body of the phone. It works very well. There were a lot of slim card readers on Amazon, and this seemed to be the best one. I'm using it with a Mac Pro 16" laptop, and it's working well Nearly all C ports are close to one another. The card reader itself works fantastically, so I'm not complaining about it at all. You may need to unplug it from the other USB port if something is plugged into it When you have a USB C port on your laptop, it can be challenging to find a card reader that fits in the remaining space. There may not be enough room depending on the thickness of the other accessory connected. There's just barely room for the USB cable to fit inside this reader. It has the slimmest profile I could find, and it fits just barely The USB connector was designed by Apple which was the main cause of the problem It is more convenient to have C ports so close to each other than this card reader setup. This card reader is your only affordable option, if you don't want to spend a lot of money on an expensive USB-based solution. A Starware Card reader has been delivered to me. There is an adapter for my MacBook Pro that is the same color and even provides the same power. As an alternative to the older regular USB card reader, this device will perform this function. Both the Nikon and GoPro cards fit in this one, so I can use my camera and my GoPro cards with it. This allows me to more easily insert the SD card into the Starware, and then connect that to my MacBook. I was able to see the file on my desktop after three seconds. 83 raw images were copied and pasted into a new file in 19 seconds after creating a new folder. The Raw images must be loaded before viewing. A Jpeg will transfer much faster than a PNG. I transferred a SanDisk Extreme 128GB card from my old computer and a regular SanDisk card from my new computer. Putting a blank card into it allows you to use it like a thumb drive.

The pros are A nice, compact size. Quality metal finish, so you don't feel like you're holding something synthetic. This color is very nice. Fast and efficient image download. The cons are On the left side of my laptop, when I insert the memory card reader, the Starware logo is displayed, looks nice, however, the memory card will not work unless it is Taking the card reader out of the PC/Mac and inserting it into a USB C port on the right side of your laptop, no branding logo is visible, but the card can still be inserted. It may also be the case that if you insert the card reader to the right side and the Starware logo is visible, then the card reader opening will be facing the wrong way, i. e. Inserting the memory card requires you to insert it On their next batch, maybe the company can redesign the place where the logo goes, since it IS a nice reader and the logo is nice and not flashy.

The connection to the USB C port is really Wouldn't it be better if it loosens up with time? If it falls out, I think it's better to have it tight than to have it fall out. It's kind of freaky There are three different USB C slots I tried, and they all fit quite snugly. Although it's a nice card reader that works perfectly, it is not a cheap one.
