It's most likely that you're doing it backwards. Try flipping it over and re-inserting it. putting it in place Mine works fine, but the micro SD card appears to be facing the wrong way up.
Yes, it is compatible with Windows 10.
The SD card protrudes from the rest of the device. I don't know about the microSD because I haven't used the device with one. It doesn't matter to me whether you leave the card in the device or take it out.
On the box, it reads, "Taiwan." It could be from Taiwan or another country, but that's what the box says.

It worked for a while and then stopped working. I tried to write to an SD card plugged into the unit, and it started writing, but after a short time, Windows could no longer see the SD card; I couldn't even format an SD card without Windows 7 reporting that it was no longer available. br>Seller demanded that I return the item, which cost significantly more than the original purchase price, and seller never bothered to send me the replacement that he promised!.
I really wish I had read the reviews before making a purchase. When I inserted my micro SD card, it immediately began to smoke, melting the card and erasing all of the data on it.
When it was cool enough to handle, I removed the converter and the Micro SD card. When I showed it to my electrician friend, he said it was a converter problem, and I believe him completely! That Micro SD card cost me $50 and it was made by Samsung! Because of the low price, I believe it was the converter; I'd like a refund for both the converter and the Micro SD card!.
When you plug it into the computer, the light comes on, so you assume it's working. After that, I inserted my microsd card into the slot, which it fit perfectly. However, it does not appear in the drive menu on my computer. When it finally appears, I click on it and it instructs me to insert a disk into the USB drive, but my card is already inserted. As a result, it is ineffective. Should've been more aware.
It appeared to be of good quality, but its appearance and functionality are diametrically opposed. br>br>I got it yesterday (on time), it was well packaged, and it was safe. br>br>I connected it to my computer and it installed without a hitch. Check for a quick format. This is the point at which it will no longer function. br>br>When it first started copying files, it only lasted about a minute before disconnecting. Attempts to reconnect and access the SD were met with a continuous loop of beeps as the drivers were reinstalled, connected, and disconnected. After about an hour, I returned it. br>br>I didn't have time to wait for a replacement because I needed it for travel, so maybe it was just one bad batch, but oh well. That's what I've found to be true in my own life.
I decided to order it right away and double-checked that it was USB 3. 0. 0 . When it arrived, I realized I had at least two laptops on hand that could have done the job. Even so, because my computer doesn't have a reader for these cards, this piece of plastic may come in handy. I'm going to cry and convince myself that I'm not an impulse buyer right now.
I just received this today after returning another one I purchased from here (rocketek) that became WAY too hot after a simple format and file copy of about 1. It has a total of 6 GB of data. I inserted my PNY 32GB microsd card, copied the image from it, formatted it, and then rewrote the image, and while it did get warm, it wasn't nearly as hot as the other one. br>While writing the image back to the sd card, I noticed that the write speed had increased to over 90MB/s and decided to take a screenshot. I'm not sure if it's because of this adapter or because of the SD card, or if it's a combination of both, but I'm very pleased with them. The number had dropped to 83 by the time I took the screenshot. 4MB/s and 72MB/s when the image write was completed after 7 minutes. br>This is the microsd card I used, which I purchased on Amazon.
I purchased this USB SD card reader to replace one that I had lost, and I chose it primarily because of its low price. When I compared it to my old one, I was taken aback by how small it was. This isn't always a bad thing, though. I will say, however, that the material it is made of feels a lot flimsier than the one I had previously. br>br>So far, it's been fine; I've only had it for two days (as of today, May 8, 2019), and I've already transferred photos and video. Everything appears to be in working order, so it's a good buy overall. It doesn't get much worse than this.
