I was used to my old MacBook Pro. Yes, I'm guilty. Because I am an old fart and am not well versed in computers, I don't know a lot about them. As soon as I saw these two things, a light bulb went off in my head. It would have been wise for me to pay a bit more attention to my computer purchase specs, A computer which did not have a way to use a card reader or adapt a thumb drive would not have been made by Apple. Duh! Well, I did some research on the USB 2. 0 I started shopping for an adapter and discovered it's a c port. I just had to have this little gadget when I saw I find it to be very useful! My heart is very happy with the discovery of these delightful little things It is kind of difficult for me to keep track of a bunch of different attachments with my memory.

We don't require any software to be downloaded I have so much more ease of access to my thousands of photos now that I have this handy device!.

The SD card reader I bought before shooting an important event was excellent. My photos transferred without issue after I took many and made sure the reader works. It is still possible to access photos on the memory card from the camera at this point. Then, when I tried to download the photos to my Macbook, it showed that all the photos had been removed. There was a time when I thought all of my photos had been lost! It was fortunate that I had a USB3 connector to use.

I can use all my other cords and card readers with my new MacBook Pro because this is exactly what I needed. delighted to find that the color of the laptop almost matched the color of the case. It seems like a great product so far with a sleek appearance.

The SD card reader allows me to transfer files between two SD cards without having to save their contents on my computer and switch to new SD cards. I can have two SD cards in use simultaneously with an additional USB port.

It was a long time before we decided whether or not to purchase a new computer at all, and if we did, whether or not I should just purchase a "super cheap" Windows laptop. Unlike my old computer, which had a USB 2. 0 port, my new one has a USB 3. 0 port. The new laptop I purchased did not have either a USB port nor a flash card reader. It was a disappointment since I had to choose between them An external hard drive so I can back up information, but also a document scanner so I can use the documents. As I was searching on Amazon, I found this one and decided to check it out, and I am not However, I am unable to compare the new laptop with the old one when it is connected with this device. However, even if I managed to get the new computer's benchmarks, I would have nothing to compare it to, as the old computer is no longer there. I can at least use it without error, and it's fast enough to do the job I need. Leaving this review as simple as possible, I can say that it has always worked flawlessly to transfer data for my sporatic Time Machine backups to my external hard drive, and has always worked flawlessly to transfer scans from our Doxie I was glad I purchased this for the few bucks it cost me, as it packs down nicely for travel purposes, and it kept me from having to pay much more for something with too many ports for You cannot go wrong with this purchase.

It's not an Apple product, but I had no problems with it. It doesn't click when you plug in the SD card and you really need to push the USB plugs in so that it will connect, but other than that, it's great. This was in mint condition when it arrived.
