I have a pair of cables that connect my Netapp 4246 disk shelf to my LSI 9286-F It appears both cables connect to the top controller on the disk shelf without any issues the RAID card automatically found the enclosure and disks within without a hitch. These cables are excellent and are half the price of what eBay sellers are charging for similar cables.
Generally speaking, I would agree with you if you find $40 for a one-meter cable a bit absurd. If you want to find these cables cheaper somewhere else, good luck with that. Similarly, regardless of where you are connected to this, you probably have a lot more money invested than $40. The price I paid for it is reasonable for the service I received. As far as I can tell, the cable is well-made, and I have not had any issues with it so far.
I can use my disk array now.
There is no data quality error. The device is ready for use!.
It was difficult for the cable to connect and it would slip out too easily, so when I asked how I could fix it, a replacement cable was sent to me as quickly as possible without my asking.
In need of a longer SAS cable for a home rack setup, this one was just what I needed in terms of both length and price. Great cable, works perfectly and can be routed over the cable arm, through racks between.
An extension of a 24 drive NAS with a JBOD box of 12 drives was undertaken with this product. I really like it.
