Product Description

Provides direct access to SAS backplane in a hard drive bay in a server or workstation via a RAID or PCI Express controller. Designed for use in workstations or servers for mass storage interconnection, the SFF-8087 36 Pin to SFF-8087 data cable connects the SAS controller to the SAS/SATA enclosure.

The SAS 3 support should be available. With SAS or SATA storage systems and hot-swappable SATA or SAS drive bays, you get up to 12 Gbps performance

When expanding storage needs, both DIY and IT professionals will appreciate the convenience of a heavy-duty but flexible cable. Mesh harness of the internal Mini SAS36 pin cable allows easy routing in tight spaces. Supports the SGPIO feature using the integrated internal sideband wires.

A woven mesh sheath is placed over each individually shielded ribbon cable on both sides, plus a cloth tape strain relief protects the cables without becoming rigid, as well as sturdy 36 pin SFF 8087 connectors with stainless steel latches to ensure a solid connection.
