With an R720xd, I just finished this. To get to either of the full height slots on an LSI HBA card, do one right and one left or two lefts. If you're using the two-drive backplane in the back, unplug the SASA1 jumper cable and connect the onboard SASA directly to the backplane (the cable is long enough). Because you can't unplug SASB, tuck it away somewhere. This package includes on-board hardware RAID1 for the boot drives, as well as a nice 24-bay direct SAS enclosure for storage.
Dear Customer,br>I recommend that you select the right angle version. If you buy the 2-pack, you will get a discount. Two cables are included in the package. br>If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you very much! br>
Unlike a few of the other reviews I've read, I can confirm that these cables DO fit perfectly in the 1U R610 Server. The backplane connectors are the exact same height as the original cables, and they're the perfect length to reach my new H700 RAID in the embedded slot where the original PERC 6/i used to be.
Yes. The R710 is available in a variety of configurations, including two. There are either 5 or 3 drive caddies. There are a total of five drive caddies in this game. You have the option of using 2. In a three-point game, there are five drives. With a 2 drive caddy, it's a 5 drive caddy. 5 to 3. Adapter for five enclosures On eBay or Amazon, you can easily find these adapters. These cables are long enough to reach all the way from the case's back to the front right side, where the 2. The location of 5 drives is known.

The backplane connectors are the exact same height as the original cables, and they're the perfect length to reach my new H700 RAID in the embedded slot where the original PERC 6/i used to be. Obviously, because the backplane connectors are the same height as the original cables, the server's top cover has no clearance issues. For those who complained about clearance issues, my guess is that either the backplane connector for the product offered here on Amazon was recently redesigned, or the user didn't remove the fan array to ensure the braided cables were properly seated and neatly routed along the original cable path to the controller card. br>br>As for the cables themselves, they appear to be the same quality as the cables they replaced for the PERC PERC PERC PERC PERC PERC both ends are firmly gripped Furthermore, they are excellent at what they do. They come highly recommended from me!.
As part of an experiment, I ordered this with an LSI 9260 medical card. I was concerned when I opened the cable that it would be too short for my r710 servers when I first saw it. I figured that since I only ordered one, it wouldn't be too much of a problem. Well, I ran the cable through the tunnel and connected everything, and there was more left over than I anticipated. The controller, on the other hand, will be the subject of a separate review. The best part is that you won't have to do any awkward backward bending. a plane that puts undue stress on the connector DELL appears to have done a good job with this installation. I'll upload a photo once the second one arrives and I've installed a new (gently abused) h700 card.
My friend and I wasted a lot of time trying to get this to work in our Dell R410, but we kept getting cable errors and no drives detected. Finally, I gave up and bought a new cable, which worked flawlessly.
The only issue with that (and NOT WITH THIS PRODUCT) is that these cables are longer than the stock Dell cables, so they'll need some fiddling to get in and close the server's top. br>br>I've had no problems with the drives or the backplane since installing this - I would strongly suggest it.
I bought these to replace the RAID card in my R710. They were a perfect fit, and I haven't had any connectivity issues. On my server, all bays are full, indicating that both cables are in good working order. I'd buy it again! br>br>.
These work perfectly if you have a Dell R710 (other models may work, but I can't confirm) and are upgrading from the stock PERC RAID controller to a JBOD H200. If you want to use all three, you'll need two (2) cables. 5" is expected to be released.
It was a good fit for the backplane and had plenty of length to route and reach the add-in card. It was about 6 inches longer than it needed to be, but I was able to manage the extra. It's preferable to have too much length than too little.
The backplane necessitates the use of 90-degree ends. These cables work perfectly and allow you to use the factory cable routing to reach the x8 slots.
