Compatible with the 8th edition I have a pair of these cables that connect my Netapp 4246 disk shelf to my LSI 9286-based server. Both cables are connected to the top controller on the disk shelf, and the RAID card detects the enclosure and disks within it without issue. br>br>They work great and cost half of what eBay sellers are charging for the same cable.
I'd agree with you if you think paying $40 for a 1 meter cable is a little excessive. br>br>However, you'll have a hard time finding these cables for less elsewhere. And, let's be honest, whatever you're connecting with this is probably worth a lot more than $40. br>br>For the money, I think it's a good deal. The cable appears to be well-made, and after months of use, I have yet to encounter a problem with it.
Fast data speeds were achieved, and it was as simple as plugging and playing.
There are no data quality errors, so everything works as expected. Just plug it in!.
When I enquired about how I could fix it, the cable didn't seem to connect properly and would slip out too easily. A replacement was sent to me as soon as possible without my asking.
Exactly what I needed to get my disk array up and running. There was no damage, and I would buy it again.
I needed a longer SAS cable for a home rack setup, and this one was the perfect length and price. It worked perfectly, and it was flexible enough to route along the cable arm and through the rack between the server and cage.
It really works.
