On June 22nd, I made a cable purchase. The cord isn't working as of August 22nd. It says it isn't compatible on my devices.
Mine only lasted about three months before it went insane. It would tell my phone that it wasn't an authorized iPhone device. It wouldn't be able to charge in a consistent manner then. It would make my phone flash because it would work for a while and then stop working. It would charge, then not, then charge, then not, almost like someone turning a light switch on and off over and over. I got rid of it and replaced it with an Apple-branded charger. I hope this has been of assistance.
To protect your investment, you should use your existing apple charger or purchase a new one. Apple's cords are prone to breakage, but other brands will suffice.
I'm assuming Amazon will honor the "lifetime warranty" claim made in the expanded product description.

The product had a seven-day shelf life. The charger broke after the phone fell while charging! br>I've never seen anything like it! Images have the ability to communicate without words. Not even close to deserving.
The fact that factory Apple charging cables are made of plastic rather than flexible wires, and that they are limited to the length of the wire that comes with them, was a common complaint I heard. Because of the amount of flexing it has done over the years, the materials used to make factory wire wear out and begin to break or mess with internal wires. The quality, sturdiness, and price of the Amazon basics charging cable far exceeded my expectations; I paid roughly $13 for the 6 foot options, whereas the Apple store charges $29 plus tax for the same option! The irony is that you're paying for the same factory wire, which will only last a year before cracking or failing internally. As you can see from the images, Amazon Basics outperforms Apple in every way. For a physical description of the item, the wire bends like a hangar, allowing you to mold it into any desired angle. The end pieces, such as the lighting connector or the USB connector, are made of aluminum, which looks really sharp and modern and isn't cheaply made! Last but not least, once you plug it into your phone, it feels sturdy and won't move side to side, which I assume is due to the higher quality material used.
This charging cable is of excellent quality. br>It performs better than any off-brand product we've tried. br>Now that there are six of us in this house, everyone has their own bedroom. br>Charges almost as quickly as any of the original cords we've tried. When in use, the ends are nice and secure. br>I've discovered that braided cables outperform all other styles for our children. br>It's also nice to see a variety of color options. br>Overall, we think this is the best we've tried so far.
Both cables failed within 90 days, and the company has made getting them replaced nearly impossible. They keep asking for a different invoice, despite the fact that I gave them the exact invoice that Amazon customer support sent me, and Amazon support kept telling me to "insist it's the right one. " " They were still refusing to accept it. I've purchased about 6 packs of Amazon Basics charging cords in the past, but this experience has convinced me that I will never do so again. Because I couldn't bear spending any more time with tech support or frustration trying to communicate with the guys in the foreign factory, I simply bought a different brand. br>br>One cord simply stopped working with no visible damage, while the other snapped at the point where the cord connects to the lightning plug. It didn't show any more wear and tear than my previous Amazon Basics charging cords, but it was the first of this type I'd tried (I usually get the ones that are bumpy/have rings on the flexible plastic part, don't know what else to call them). It was unfortunate that it only lasted three months.
Fast Charging and Sturdy Construction! I am very pleased with my purchase! After my Apple iPhone charger kept giving me the error message "This accessory may not be supported," I decided to buy this 6ft replacement iPhone charger. I bought this charger after reading the description and customer reviews. It charges my iPhone quickly and is extremely durable, with a braided, long-lasting cord. It fits my iPhone much more snugly and securely than my Apple charger, and the 6 ft length is ideal. I'm very pleased with my purchase and plan to buy more chargers for our family's other iPhones. This charger is of much higher quality than other chargers available from other stores. This is a charger that I would strongly recommend.
The cable cannot go far enough into the lightning port to maintain connection. The connected pulls out whenever there is any movement. The difference between the white vinyl AmazonBasics cable and this pink braided AmazonBasics cable can be seen in the photo. The one in white is ideal. I'll return the pink one as soon as I get my six-foot white AmazonBasics cable.
The braid is tangle-prone and difficult to manage. The image has been retouched extensively. A white, flexible cable was what I was looking for. I made a blunder.
They charge my iPad at about a quarter of the speed of the OEM cable when using the same power supply. That's simply not fast enough. I wouldn't recommend it unless you only need to charge overnight and aren't concerned with charging speed.
