Selected User Reviews For Ergo M575 Wireless Trackball (Black)
I am well qualified to write this review, having owned 5x M570. br>I travel extensively and keep M570 in my backpack at all times when traveling around the world. br>br>These ergonomic mice are my favorites because, after switching from a trackpoint to a trackball for 14 years, I can appreciate saving space to work in a tight space, whether it's on a long flight or at a small desk at an airbnb or a coffee shop, I can still get work done efficiently without getting a cramp in my wrist. br>br>M575 slightly improves handling and textures of the mouse, I can appreciate the sculpting If you've ever seen clay model concept cars, you'll understand what I'm talking about. br>br>It works well for Bluetooth and unifying receiving; switching between the two requires flipping a switch on the back, which is fine. br>br>I have an MX Ergo at home and a M575 on the road. Now I'm going to buy another to keep at my second office locationbr>br>and I'm putting it in my backpack and carrying it around with my HP Spectre 14T at all times.
I'm not crazy about the new m575 trackball; it works fine, but there are a few quirks. It paired with Bluetooth without a hitch and was ready to use right away. I bought it just to see how it worked and to add to my 10-year collection. Over the years, I've owned 20 different Logitech trackballs. So much so, that I currently have four m570s in my home. br>br>Because the m575 wasn't recognized by Setpoint, I had to install Logitech options. To use Legitech's features, you must first log in. This has irritated me greatly. The m575 was not visible to LO, despite the fact that it was the most recent version downloaded from the internet. I then attempted to use Unifying Receiver, despite the fact that it was already installed and operational on Windows. It had yet to notice it. I had to uninstall and reinstall the program. Setpoint was completely removed after installing LO. It was still not working. It was like, hey, there's an update and updated LO after closing, rebooting, and opening several times. The mouse became visible all of a sudden. br>br>At this point, the mouse has almost no options, with only button assignment and speedbr>and you have to @! % adjust those options by signing it. br>br>I love bluetooth, but I despise having to sign into a service in order to change my mouse settings. br>br>The buttons are larger than on the m570, but the body has a strange texture/ribbing.
I recently purchased this unit and have a few first impressions. First, the only reason we gave it a low score for Bluetooth connectivity is because you have to connect it with that little USB device, which isn't a big deal (my previous mouse had the same problem), but it does prevent you from using that USB port for other peripherals. ***UPDATE (4JULY21) - I've only recently discovered how to pair it with a Bluetooth device. I'm satisfied, so that's that. br>br>I didn't give gaming any stars because I'm not a gamer, so it's N/A. br>br>The weight of the ball is my only complaint about this mouse. I'd seen one of these a few years ago, and I remembered the ball (a large marble, eh?). ) had a nice heft to it, which I liked. This ball has the texture of a piece of plastic, it's light, and it's devoid of any substance. It works, without a doubt, but it's a little inconvenient because my thumb shakes a little when making small adjustments, which wasn't an issue when I used that mouse with the heavier ball. br>br>I know I can change the ball's "speed" to eliminate the microadjustment problem, but it takes the ball several spins to traverse the length of the screen(s). So, when I'm doing detailed work, I'll probably use the old mouse, and when I'm not, I'll use this mouse. Yes, I'd like my cake and I'd like to eat it as well!.
The M570 has been improved to include bluetooth capabilities in addition to wireless capabilities. The main issue is that the wireless trans/mitter unit does not support older wireless products such as the K390 wireless keyboard, so I have to use two units to connect them both, which causes problems with Windows 10. I had the Ergo trackball and it was great, so skip the M575 and go with the M570 or Ergo trackball instead.
Space- Using a trackball instead of a mouse allows for a smaller footprint. This version (as well as previous non-commercial versions) of The Bluetooth model has good ergonomics and a scroll wheel that is especially useful. The large buttons are also ergonomic, but they seem to be the first to break (I've had four of them - 3 previous models, as well as this Bluetooth model - over the course of the last 5 years or so). The additional buttons are simple to find, but you'll need to use them frequently to remember what they do. Only one or two of them are used on a regular basis by me. If I had other repetitive tasks that I did on a regular basis, I would use it more. The software is clean and simple to use, making it simple to get started. If you don't want to pay attention to them, they're small enough to be ignored. br>I wouldn't recommend it for gaming or drawing, but it's a good option for moderate-to-advanced students. It's the best trackball I've used (in comparison to three others in this price range) for precision and high efficiency business use. Bluetooth is useful for saving you a USB cable and isn't too gimmicky or difficult on the wrist. A port that used to be used for the Logitech receiver. This book comes highly recommended.
The Ergo trackball mouse is ideal for using with my Chromebox, which is connected to my living room's large flat screen TV. The trackball allows for silky smooth cursor movement. I haven't used the mouse yet, so I can't comment on battery life, but my previous Logitech trackball mouse had a long battery life. batteries that last a long time.
I'm so glad I decided to spend a little extra money on an ergonomic mouse. My wrist isn't hurting any longer. because of this I can type comfortably thanks to my ergonomic keyboard. It is painless for me to move my mouse. This mouse is one of my favorites. I conducted research and conducted a review. Before choosing this one, I did my research. It's comfortable, the ball glides along easily, and I don't have to scoot it around like I used to with my old mouse. I simply roll the ball with my thumb while clicking with the rest of my fingers. Because it worked so well, I switched which key controls which. I'm thinking about getting a new mouse because I hate using my old one when I'm working on my laptop at home. This ergonomic mouse has become second nature to me. Give it a shot. It'll be fantastic! Desirée.
