Selected User Reviews For Razer Kraken Kitty RGB USB Gaming Headset: THX 7.1 Spatial Surround Sound - Chroma RGB Lighting - Retractable Active Noise Cancelling Mic - Lightweight Aluminum Frame - for PC - Quartz Pink

Kraken headsets are comfortable, functional, stylish and inexpensive
5/5

After getting tired of using a crappy old turtle beach connected to my previous Xbox on my PC, I decided to buy this Kraken headset instead. Immediately after they split the top of my skull open, it felt as though I was being stabbed in the head The soreness in my ears was after just 3 hours of use. The Blue Snowball is an amazing device, but I wanted a headset with a microphone that would work with Zoom and for gaming, rather than using both the Snowball AND a headset at the same time. I will sum up my thoughts on the Kraken as follows It's worth the hype, but is it worth it? There is no doubt that this headset lives up to the hype and that it isn't just a cheap brand that ships out crappy gear. Some of their other headsets have awful reviews, and I cannot say the same for these. In spite of its small size, this headset is very comfortable The price Amazon is selling it at is lower than the manufacturer's suggested retail price, it's a great deal. Among the pros Please note I am convinced that the cooling technology on their earmuffs is real. Please note There is no chance of your skull cracking from the top of the headset. My favorite feature of the mic is that it retracts -br> It is easy to tell how professional a package is by its appearance*- It comes with a cord with a dedicated mic and audio jack, which is nice for large desks like mine. It is easy to wear for hours at a time

Cons Please note Using the volume dial on the audio cable, the lower volume range reveals a lot of bad sound. The balance between the left and right just randomly shifts when you use the integrated volume dial to go from high to low volume. I am not sure whether this is just my unit or if it is something universal. It is certainly annoying to have to adjust the volume while gaming. In this case, I would suggest turning the volume all the way up, then using the keyboard to adjust the volume on the OS side rather than the hardware side* - There is something finicky about my mic with MacOS on my Hackintosh I am not sure why but I'll continue to experiment. Please note I am still a little worried about how the shape is going to affect my ears through its lifetime, although I do feel like it may be possible to get by with this.
- It would be useful if the cable had integrated features similar to what Turtle Beach on Xbox offers for voice-chat and video games. There is a $40 premium for the tournament edition that includes this, but I am not sure whether it's worth it. This headset could easily surpass the best $60 headsets and $20 headsets on the market with the tournament edition if the USB unit were redesigned.

A little summary Taking both the pros and cons into account - It's amazing how good this headset is. The technology has flaws as all things do that's just part of the deal. There's no doubt that Razer will introduce some killer features to the next few generations of this headset to make it take over Anyone looking for a headset that's comfy, functional, stylish, and inexpensive should consider buying this one. With all the features included, it's hard to think of a better headset for the price. You can buy 70 for that amount.

It's not a good idea, go get some turtles instead
3/5

A short mic and low quality are two causes of the problem. When you are using mic monitoring, you have to turn it up to the maximum level to hear yourself, which leads to buzzing. Wind feedback is not present due to the lack of a wind sock. Although the headphones are not the best, they do the job. Back to school.

I urge you to buy them right now! It is a pleasure to wear these headphones
5/5

I absolutely love them since they cancel out all background noise and are so stylish. My husband tries to talk to me while I wear them, but I can't hear him a word he says! You might want to get the kitten ears that attach to the top of the headphones if you're super girly or want to make your computer station/gaming station look girly. They are great headphones and I will be purchasing all the Razer products to match them ) I am in love with them.

I love how cute it is and how great the quality is! The first headset I've ever owned, and I am in love! To go with it, I got attachable kitty ears
4/5

I had some trouble at first trying to figure out the audio issues since only the left side of my speakers were working, but after looking at all my settings and making sure that I had it plugged in backwards, I got it to work. I have had these for a few months, and they continue to hold Overall, a great product! Not the most comfortable, but overall a great product! Recommended for.

I only used the device for two months due to poor quality
3/5

The material is not Despite being connected, the audio adjuster broke off from the cord. It's sad that that happens only two months after the car was purchased, and there has been no force In any case, I won't be purchasing the item and I will not recommend it.

It's good, but the volume dial is designed poorly
4/5

The headphones I use with a PS4 are good, but I must confess that this is the only gaming pair I've ever used, so I can't tell you whether they are better or worse than anything else on the market. In light of my very positive experience using Razer products in the past, I chose these almost exclusively based on my own Razer Blade Pro laptop, the greatest laptop I've ever owned (including MacBook Pros). I give them a 5 out of 5 when it comes to comfort. In the sense that they don't get warm after a long time of wearing them, they are very lightweight and cool to the touch. No matter how many consecutive hours I use them, they remain comfortably secure. I don't feel like I need to remove them or cool down after wearing them. My headphones are actually so comfortable that I forget I'm wearing them. My only complain about the volume control is that it's too low. There are two dials on the cable just like nearly every other headphone, but the problem is it does not adjust for the volume Dial that's spinning almost like a wheel. This is not a "tight" dial that does not move unless you put your fingers on it and turn it up or down, or the type that makes a little click as you turn it up or down. Because of this, every time you move (eg reach for a drink of water or use a change of position), it rubs against your clothes and the volume changes. There is no point in setting the volume and then letting it go. There is a 15-minute gap every now and then The volume has to be checked every 30 minutes to be sure it is the same as I want it. Over time you get used to the constant checking, but definitely a better design would have been the better choice. My head does not make sense of what you are saying. The volume control on many headphones I've used (for music and other purposes) has been similar, but none of them have the ability to adjust the volume with the slightest touch. In any case, I don't use the microphone, so I am unable to comment on it. With these headphones, it is no longer even noticeable that the cable is there since it retracts nicely into the earphones. It would be a two stars review if the headphones weren't so comfortable, and if I wasn't already a fan of Razer products. I might have even returned them if the volume control issues weren't so annoying. Actually, after reading my own review, I think I should contact them to ask if this is how they intended their product to work or if the pair I got is defective.

The audio is great and the comfort is excellent
5/5

It was the Hyper X Cloud 2 headphones that I was using last. I must admit that the Hyper X Cloud 2 headset is a great, comfortable headset. I had a problem with the cord splitting and the mic didn't work. As I mentioned earlier, the Razer Kraken is not only 20 years old but also 20 years old. I like these better than my old set because they were less expensive and Despite the fact that they sound even better, I was pleasantly surprised. It's great that the microphone is retractable, and you can adjust the volume with the cord. I feel like this headset is a no-brainer, best buy for the money.
