Do the 25 pins on each parallel cable have male ends?

There is a parallel port on the back of your PC that has 25 pins and this is to connect a USB printer to it using these pins. I found it to be ineffective for me, but I must warn you. I tried it several times with different network setups, but wasn't able to get it to work, as the PC either did not understand what it was or wasn't doing. if you don't have USB, it would be best to just buy another parallel printer. It would have been very helpful if someone warned me before I bought this useless product. I am a tech who has worked for 20 years, so you can imagine how hard I tried. That may be of some help to you.

Can this device be connected to both a "mfj-supported" USB flash drive and a flash drive "462b" with the date "db-" There is a "compatible Epson printer" for 20 output (only works with Epson) and a Epson wf-420 for 25 output ?

Any printer I tried would not work with this device. Hope it works out for you!

Selected User Reviews For Lpt2USB Parallel To USB Printer Adapter

An adapter like this can be a great asset under the right circumstances! Getting the bad news out of the way first, you won't always be successful when you swap an old Centronics parallel printer for a USB one coupled with this adapter, so please confirm that the return policy is acceptable before committing to purchase this product
4/5

Furthermore, if you will also be buying a new printer, you will need to be comfortable with the return policy as well. As a result, this adapter can be a great help in the right circumstance. I use a large collection of scientific equipment that was designed to print directly on Centronics parallel printers, which I repair and maintain. do not have USB ports, nor are they attached to external computers. Furthermore, there are no ways to download new printer drivers for them. The vast majority of my testing was carried out with an HP DeskJet 5650 color inkjet printer to reduce the chances of using a printer that is incompatible with the scientific gear selected for these adapter trials. Besides USB ports (which I had previously not utilized) and Centronics parallel ports, I was able to successfully print from a dozen of the scientific instruments that I tested on this adapter with the DeskJet 5650 printers that have had the parallel port for over ten years. * * * For this review, I decided to connect the printer adapter to the parallel printer output (DB-Type I use a DU-25 connector) of an IR100 FTIR spectrometer (made in 2005) from Thermo Scientific It has a UV-index of 640 Visual spectrophotometer (made by Beckman Instruments in 1994). IR100 users can choose between two printer types - PCL Laser or PCL Inkjet - in the user interface. The PCL Inkjet printer I selected has always been what I use through the Centronics Parallel port for my DeskJet 5650 printer. Using this Parallel to USB adapter, I was able to connect the IR100 to the printer's USB port and have no issues printing to it, so I consider this and my other preliminary tests to have been a This is a DU-based program In the 640 user interface, you can select from seven different printer types, including Epson FX-series I have an Epson LQ-850 It is compatible with Canon BJ-510 HP DeskJet 540/560, HP DeskJet 520, HP DeskJet 560/660C (Black), HP DeskJet 560/660C (Color), and HP LaserJet 200. I decided to pick the HP DeskJet 560/660C (Color) printer because they are all outdated and outdated. This is the setting we have always used through the Centronics parallel port on the DeskJet 5650 printers and on the DeskJet 6122 printers attached to our DU-180 The spectrophotometers have a total of 640 points. From using the adapter between a DU-II and an SD card, I obtained the following results In either of these two models of Deskjet printer, the USB port is a little difficult to understand. The first day that I tested the adapter on the DU-33 I tried it with both printers, but neither one worked. We had no problems with either printer on the second day of testing. After using the adapter each day, I checked it still worked with an IR100 at the end of each day. When I used an IR100, the adapter always worked great. But when I tried a DU-100, it would sometimes not work In 640 characters The results of these tests made it clear that some hardware combinations will not be as reliable as the first one In my quest to determine whether our newest HP DeskJet printer would work with the adapter after I had established that the IR100 is a very reliable testbed for the adapter, I attempted to attach our IR100 to the IR100. The IR100 printer was connected via USB to a computer The printer didn't do anything, but I was able to use the DeskJet 1010. This is due to the DeskJet 1010 having a printer language called PCL 3GUI, which is incompatible with older versions of Printer Command Language such as the PCL 3 in the DeskJet 6122 and the PCL 3E in The printer will not be able to properly understand the printer language if the sending device cannot be understood and translated by the printer. Further proof of how vital it is to choose a printer that is capable of comprehending and implementing what it receives from the source of information, take a look at the following scenario This adapter can be used with any HP printer that can connect to an IR100. With just a database-based approach The company will pay $25 to Centronics The Epson C88+ is connected to the IR100 using a 36 parallel cable. A Centronics parallel port is present on the C88+ However, it produces gibberish when it prints. I tried the same thing with a Canon PIXMA iP4000 (which also has a Centronics parallel port), and that printer also failed to print anything. Due to failed printers, I am unable to purchase new HP printers that have Centronics parallel ports, and I would feel it a shame to have to retire instruments that cost more than $11,000 each. I hope at least some new USB-connected devices will be released in the near future In fact only printers will be able to handle the output from our IR100 spectrometers, as well as possibly our DU-2000 spectrometers You can also choose from 640 spectrophotometers. Next time I'm unable to print from a DeskJet 5650 or DeskJet 6122 printer, I'll want to use one of these adapters to connect the scientific instrument to a USB printer that can properly interpret its data. I would appreciate it if any of you could suggest a printer model that might suit these needs in a comment.

As far as I'm concerned, this works well A version of the printer that can communicate with a new computer is a much better option than one that can communicate with a parallel port
5/5

With my new HP Laser Jet Pro M404dw, which connects well over my network, but requires a USB cable to use with my laptop, I have a nice, new printer. It was the first time I tried a straight parallel to USB cable, but it didn't work. Voila! After using this device, I had the same result. I found the solution to the problem. It might be of interest to some people to know I have an old HP Multimedia 6170s running DOS 6. 0. Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3 and XP Service Pack 22. As an example, I use WordPerfect for Windows 6 which is a legacy Windows application. There are three versions of Pagemaker version 1, Lotus Improv, and version During the DOS era, I used Wordstar, Lotus 1, and Quark A dBase III Plus database is based upon dBase 3. It does, however, have one downside in that sometimes it takes a long time to print certain files.

The product is great, and the shipping was fast

My experience with CyberGuys was great, I would definitely use The product itself does not work. Many people have attempted to use it, but to no avail. If you don't have a parallel printer yet, invest in one. I did my part to rate this product and seller since it requires 16 words or more from the customer in their comments. Most people (including myself) will just ignore this rating and not do anything about it, but in fairness to the product and seller, I gave it a shot.

It is a good idea to check your printer before buying
3/5

As I failed to notice the requirement that the printer be either PCL or PostScript compatible, I did not find this adapter to be useful to me. Despite my best efforts, I was unable to use a Samsung printer. I checked the manual for the Samsung and it does not support PCL format, therefore the adapter cannot be used. Search for the term "LPT2USB" on the manufacturer's web site. They have an FAQ section where you can find details about whether or not your printer will work with their adaptor.

I have found this to be very useful to connect a usb printer to a parallel port using unix, aix, and medical applications
5/5

You don't need drivers or special software, just connect and it works. It's easy to use and simple to connect as well.
