What an amazing product! It works just Yes, it came in a box, and not a plastic bag, but it worked out of the box. It also works with the remote pendant control, so there's no need to rely on Windows XP or the printer port any longer. In my opinion, I should have waited a bit faster.
I did end up getting one of the clones, but I was refunded after it was 21 days late. Although it appears good, it's not possible to find a driver if you can't read Chinese. You may want one if you want but be sure to get it from CNCDRIVE. You are getting the real deal with this product. Don't forget to follow the instructions to the letter and download them in advance. You won't regret doing so. It is impossible for the clones to The following edits have been made It can be used to put the little "ACER ASPIRE ONE" to good Install Windows 7 if you haven't done so already and follow the instructions provided by CNCDRIVE to make it work.
If you can get the driver to stay installed, the UC100 is very reliable. I have one problem, it disappears every time I turn off my Windows 10 computer and I do not have access to the internet where I am located so I cannot use this. It does not help if you write this line. After reinstalling on a stick, I still do not get a resolution. For now, the only solution that the support team offers is to reinstall the driver, which would be fine if it didn't suddenly Although I was hoping an American product made at higher price would be valuable, it is currently worthless without a driver that recognizes it as a functional device.
It took about ten minutes for the software to install, including the installation process. The only other thing I can tell you is get one now even if your parallel port is working so that you will be prepared if your parallel port fails, or even just if you want to run the newest version.
It just I couldn't get the address of the Parallel Ports to work for whatever reason. All of them failed to work). It worked, but it wasn't good. I tried to replace my Gecko (Shawn at Zenbotcnc was kind enough to send me a brand new one), etc. I was unable to make anything work. The struggle had been too much for me. As a last resort, I decided that I might as well check out the UC100. *g** *g* *g* *g* *g* *g* *g* Installation was straightforward, as was I executed my plan. I turned on my Gecko, cranked up my spindle, and I was good to go! THANK YOU! I was able to work it out! It would have been better if I had done this a long time.
My plan is to use it with Mach3 and a Gecko 420 CNC mill. In order to use parallel ports, I had to use an older PC with an obsolete parallel port. There is a little configuration required for this to work correctly, but by all accounts it seems to work pretty well. The machine has only locked a few times but I had to reset the program in order to regain access. This has only happened a few times, but I wanted to mention it anyway. As of now, I have cut several designs in different formats and the solution has worked flawlessly for every type.
Despite the fact that it claims to be a UC100 motion controller, it is a Chinese knockoff of very low quality. A driver for it does not exist and it does not work as a U100. Moreover, it includes a PIRATED version of Mach 3. I think this is a total waste of money, especially for half the price of the genuine UC100. Be sure not to fall victim to the same mistakes I did. The real UC100 can be found here. This thing is worth every penny more than this.
I like how it works. To do this, you need a valid Artsoft license key for your Mach3 or Mach4 program. There is a check built into the UC100 DLL Plugin.
The adapter was excellent for connecting a computer with no parallel port to a USB port. I connected with no problems using Windows 10 64bit on a Dell computer running Mach3. Mach 4 after Windows 10 update rendered Mach3 obsolete. (There is now a patch available for Mach3! 2) As Mach4 is very stable, I will continue to use it. My Mac does not lock up like it did with Mac 3.
