I noticed that my PC no longer outputs via HDMI to my surround sound receiver connected to my projector once it had malfunctioned. As indicated by the Nvidia control panel, there was a splitter in the chain that did not support HDCP, which means no audio or video was available. It had not changed, there were no updates to the video card. A lot of people woke up the next morning asking why the computer didn't work the night before. searching the internet for about 20 hours changing cables and configurations, swapping surround sound receivers, and buying an HDMI splitter, but nothing worked, I finally grew a brain and decided to use the display port output along with the I used the HDMI adapter to run a second HDMI to my new receiver (I have not yet tested the old receiver that was working fine until the issue suddenly occurred) and that HDMI was directed directly to my projector (which was always working, just it wouldn't function through the surround sound). It was everything I hoped it would be. I like this product because it is simple and does what it should. There are three HP 2711x monitors in my house. The first monitor connects via an HDMI cable in order to connect to the NVIDIA graphics card, the second monitor connects via a DVI cable, and the third monitor cannot connect to either monitor without Input the female HDMI port of the LinkS adapter into the HDMI port of the monitor and insert the other end into the HDMI port of the monitor. Your actions saved the day. Due to my company's insistence that I have a laptop with a DisplayPort and no HDMI, I bought this on a whim. It was in my briefcase, but I had never used it. There was a huge display in a conference room with 20 people waiting for a colleague to demo it when I arrived at the customer site. There was no VGA cable this time - the first time this has ever happened It will only work with It came on instantly when I connected the HDMI cable to his DisplayPort. I absolutely love this product. It has done exactly what it was supposed to do for me. All you need to do is connect the DisplayPort to a HDMI monitor. If you haven't yet jumped into 4k, you still need an HDMI connection since more and more graphics cards have DisplayPort outputs, if you don't yet have a DisplayPort output. In general, everything seemed to work fine. HDMI plugged into the HDMI female end of the product tightly and I never had any issues with it coming undone or bending in any way. I strongly recommend this cable if you need one, it's not hard to understand.
