It happened one day that my computer would no longer transmit HDMI data to my receiver that is connected to my projector via HDMI. In Nvidia's control panel, it says there is a splitter in the chain and that it is incompatible with HDCP, which means a video and audio are not output. A video card update had not been applied, no changes had been made. I had it working the night before, but it didn't work in the morning. The solution came after about 20 hours of trying to swap cables, changing configurations, swapping surround sound receivers, and purchasing an HDMI splitter, of which none worked, so, I became clever and thought of combining the display port output Using this approach, I am able to connect my projector direct to the HDMI (which has always worked, just not through surround sound) and I am able to connect my new receiver to the second HDMI (I have not yet tried the old receiver that had been working fine before the issue). The DP adapter is allowed to bypass HDCP encryption because I am simultaneously outputting HDMI to my projector and I am duplicating the display (Windows key+P to change this option). This simple little adapter fixed an issue I might not have otherwise had the ability to fix. I once became the bane of my existence due to HDCP encryption - The HDMI output of my video card was connected directly to an LG LED TV and worked for years, but all of a sudden I couldn't get any signal to output. I never got it working again until I got an Oppo disc player that could be used as an HDMI When the computer is connected to the TV through the Oppo, it somehow handshaking with the TV once again. the surround sound receiver stopped working on the day when the surround sound went out. Using the Nvidia control panel, we would be told that a splitter is in the chain, and that the device isn't HDCP compatible, etc. The problem with HDCP encryption is that it does not prevent bootlegging of HD media, but only punishes honest law-abiding citizens (like me) who are trying to hook an HDMI cable from their PC to a surround sound receiver, Any component between a source and a display is often deemed as inappropriate because HDCP presumes you are diverting the stream for the purpose of copying the Blu-ray or I could have hooked up my receiver to the projector using another way to get the surround sound from my computer, since I also have a disc player and DirecTv DVR connected via the receiver as well as the projector, but this route might not have been as bad. Therefore, my problem is solved until HDCP decides that I am somehow stealing by having my PC connected to my surround sound system. Since my equipment and setup are working as they should, at least for the time being, it is solved.

It was more than we could have asked for. An easy-to-use product that allows you to do what you need. There are three 2711x HP monitors in my house. Adding a third monitor would not be possible without this adapter if the first monitor was connected via HDMI, another via DVI, and the third monitor would be unable to connect without Connect the HDMI cable from the monitor to the HDMI port of the LinkS adapter, and the other end of the cable to the female HDMI port of the monitor. I then connected the male DisplayPort connector on the LinkS adapter to the graphics card. It worked as it should. This product has allowed me to run three monitors at once.

The day was saved! Due to my company's request, I purchased this as soon as my laptop with DisplayPort and no HDMI came in. In my briefcase, I kept it even though I had never used it. In a conference room that had a large display and 20 people waiting for my colleague to perform a demonstration, I showed up at the site. Having said that, this was the first time I couldn't get a VGA cable HDMI is the only available interface. In the middle of a presentation, my colleague had slides and was panicking because he didn't have an HDMI port. What it is supposed to do, this product does exactly that. Simply connect it to an HDMI monitor via DisplayPort and you are good to If you haven't upgraded to 4k yet, you still require an HDMI cable. Newer graphics cards usually come with DisplayPort outputs as well, but if you haven't jumped to 4K yet, you should still get a HDMI cable. I ran the product throughout the house, and everything seemed to work perfectly. HDMI was tightly plugged into the HDMI female end of the product, so I did not have to worry about it falling undone or bending in any way. You will be able to use one of these cables if you need one, that's for sure.

I have both the DisplayPort to HDMI and VGA adaptors, and they work perfectly. It is common for people to imagine that display port is the same thing as USB. However, if you just look at the description, you can see what you I found the HDMI one to be of particular use since both of my laptops come with a display out and the HDMI cable allows me to connect them easily to my TV, monitors, and projector. It looks like good quality at a reasonable price. This past week I received an adapter that converts my display to VGA. The adapter is useful even if almost all my devices have a HDMI port, so I can use it just for VGA stuff if all the HDMI ports on my TV are already taken. For example, I can do simple stuff on my TV without having to take the existing HDMI connections out.
