I have grandparents who don't have cable TV or home internet, only a standard antenna and a couple of channels at most. In any case, they do have a Samsung Note 5, and they are familiar with YouTube, Netflix, etc. This adapter works great It is easy to set up and does not necessitate a local wifi network like chromecasts or Amazon firesticks. I found it to be as simple as plugging in Connecting the Note 5 to the TV and activating screen mirroring are the next steps. Their videos and other media can now be viewed on the big screen without any problem. In addition, we like the fact that this adapter does not require you to have a home wifi network to use it It's all in the name of selling you paid content on their devices, like all of the other adapters I bought. This is the only reason why a wifi network is required. The wireless devices transmit and receive data wirelessly. They act as a "bridge" between the device and the phone/adapter. Those other devices were simply selling you profitable movies and TV shows to sell you more so they could continue to make money off of you.
