Keep in mind that this is a short item; unless you're riding a Honda Grom, you won't be able to get it from the handlebar to the disc lock. Mine is usually wrapped around the brake/clutch levers to remind me to remove my brake lock, but it isn't attached to it.
The other end is on the handlebar, and the brake lock is on the brake lever! I can't see myself using this on a bigger bike. I mean, it's really, really tight when I put it on. Yes, I'm securing it to the nearest handlebar. I'll admit that there are times when I don't even bother to attach it to the front; I simply fasten it to the handlebar grips on both sides. I mean, it's sole purpose is to serve as a reminder that I have a disc. It's on the brake lock, and it's doing its job.
I found stretching the cable from my disc lock to the handlebars to be inconvenient, so I just put it across my handlebars instead. When you get on your bike, ready to ride, and notice a bright orange cable across your throttle, you know something is wrong. The cable has a good feel to it and a pleasing appearance.
Testimonials are not my favorite thing to type.
One end should be placed on the lock, while the other should be placed on the clutch. It'll be worth it, believe me.
When I'm out shopping at the mall or something, I keep this simple device on my motorcycle handlebars and connect it to my disc brake lock. Having a bright orange reminder on my handlebar that I have a disc brake lock on my bike gives me extra peace of mind so I don't ride away with it still on and ruin my bike.
I don't know how many times I would have forgotten about the front brake disc locking if it wasn't for this cable wrapped around my throttle grip! Wow has kept me from taking off on numerous occasions. Yes, I'm a complete moron. You must have one of these if you buy a disc lock.
This item has a lot of uses. It shows me that the disk lock (attached to the other end of the cable) is attached to the front wheel of my motorcycle. The lock is on one end, and my handlebar is on the other. If I forgot about the lock, putting my hand on the clutch would immediately alert me to the fact that it still needs to be removed. In conclusion, a simple device that can prevent a disastrous outcome.
