Dell, I appreciate it. Except for the Noble wedge-style locking mechanism, this new laptop is fantastic. Forget about the industry standard Kensington T lock, which is used by every other manufacturer and which we all have on hand. In fact, the Kensington lock slots were used in the new Dell port replicator and Dell monitor that I bought with this laptop. What exactly is going on with this laptop? It appears as if you are being paid to use their proprietary system so that they can sell locks or license the technology. Anyway, I can't say I blame Targus for that. Although the lock is adequate, I would prefer a keyed lock.
It's well-made and appears to be durable enough to deter theft.
The design is compatible with my work computer, which is a Dell.
