I bought these drawers because they were cheap, but they are not something I would recommend. Despite the fact that the company was excellent in terms of exchanges and other services, they have decided to close. I didn't need the lock at all.
5 x 13. 75 x 4.
Yes, the same key can be used to open multiple drawers.
Nope. The drawer is solid all the way around and has a good fit. Because it's made entirely of steel, you could probably make your own changes.

I debated whether or not I should spend a decent amount of money and 3U on such a "boring" item. But dang. It's a drawer, which is extremely convenient. In it, I keep a few pairs of tracking headphones as well as headphone extension cables. There is ample space, and everything is kept extremely secure. br>br>Rock solid constriction, smooth sliding, and soft close/no slam You can set the lock to always lock when the key is out or always unlock when the key is out, giving you flexibility depending on where you use it. br>br>Even though I'm a nerd, I still get excited about this piece of equipment because it's so useful and well-made.
These drawers are constructed with high-quality materials, including thicker metal, ball bearing slides, cushioned stops, and high-density foam. The locks are of good quality, and the finishing is satisfactory. Unfortunately, whoever put them together needs to learn how to be more precise. All three units we bought had one side that was lower than the other once they were installed in the rack. To get the shelf units to close without dragging on the rack panel or equipment below them, we had to skew, twist, and fiddle with them far more than we should have. One was so far away that we had to put in a lot of effort to get it to close properly, which I would consider excessive. We were planning to buy more than 50 of these drawers, but due to the poor quality of the assembly, we'll have to look elsewhere. All that would have been required was for someone to drill the holes in the correct locations.
This rack mount drawer was purchased for use in an A/V rack in a training room as a place to store cables and other items. The drawer arrived in good condition, with no visible damage. The prices for these drawers are ridiculous in my opinion! The drawer slides were a complete waste of money! I took the drawer out of the enclosure to mount it, and when I put it back in, it would barely slide; turns out, the drawer didn't line up correctly, and it bent the slide mounted to the enclosure side! When I pulled the drawer out again to see what was wrong, ball bearings began to fall out all over the place! At that point, I took measurements of the old slides and went to my local Orange Big Box store to buy some new Full-View slides. Extension slides were purchased and installed. Everything is now sliding in the correct direction. Perhaps it's my fault, but I've installed a lot of drawer slides over the years and have never had this issue!.
Some say it's not deep enough, but I think it's just right, and I got the 2u drawer, which fits perfectly in the rack. It provides us with a location to store cables and other items. The only thing I don't like about it is that the key can only be removed when it is locked. I don't see the point in using this lock or keeping the keys in there because the rack case it's in already has a lock. So that's a tad inconvenient.
The drawers are nice, but they aren't very deep. Moreover, the drawer slides do not open to the full depth of the drawer. Because of the unit's depth, I took away two stars.
I needed something that was not too heavy. For the price, I was expecting it to be a little lighter duty, but it far exceeds my expectations. It can hold a lot of weight, and the slide mechanism is smooth and feels high-quality.
This thing is solid as a rock. It glides effortlessly, locks neatly and securely, and has a hinged handle that folds out of the way when not in use. On standard rackserver rails, screw plates fit perfectly.
When I realized my error, I was able to contact the provider, who gladly exchanged the drawers at no additional cost. I was overjoyed. My only complaint about the drawers is that I can't get the key out of the unlocked position; perhaps I should have ordered drawers without locks instead.
