So I decided to replace my keyed Kensington locks with this one because it was less expensive and theirs was out of stock at the time. What I like about it is how simple it is to operate. What I don't like about it is how loose it fits in my laptop's Kensington slot. I tried to see if it was a problem by applying enough force, but it still stayed in place, so I guess I'll just accept it. However, if Kensington's locks become available, I may purchase them simply for the sake of having them. I'd rather have a lock that has a firm grip and doesn't move around like the keyed locks I replaced. Because of the problem, I only gave it two stars.
These were purchased to replace some computer locks that had black letters on a silver background. In a dimly lit room, it is becoming increasingly difficult to read the numbers. Even in low light, the white letters stand out. Although a flashlight is still required, my eyes do not appear to be straining.
Excellent quality product that is simple to use.
Overall, I thought the locks were reasonably priced. The cable was a good length, and connecting it to the laptop was a breeze. We have these locks that rarely move, so I'm not sure how they'd handle multiple re-keys. connects. Other units, such as a quick release, are available, but they are significantly more expensive.
It does exactly what it says. The item arrived exactly as described. It's fantastic! I would buy it again.
It did a great job of securing the equipment and working efficiently.
