Mine has a non-removable foam cover, despite the fact that it is not visible in the photo. There are also four options for purchasing this right now. The option with the foam cover is on the far right.
This microphone works with Windows, Mac OS X, and PlayStation 4, so it'll work with Windows 10.
The microphone's mute button mutes only the sound it produces. On my iMac, I use this microphone for dictation. Only one input can be set up in the system preferences on the Apple system software at a time, so when the mic's mute button is pressed, the computer receives no audio input.
This isn't the right fit for you. This microphone is extremely low-cost. There is no way to turn it off. It only has a mute button and a pretty color-changing button. The bottom line is simple.

This is an excellent microphone. It accomplishes the task at hand. br>Volume control is not available (as it is in Windows 10), so it is not required. br>ON THE OTHER HAND, it irritates me when I see reviews from people who refuse to read the instructions. br>HERE ARE SOME SUGGESTIONS: br>Installation of Windows 10 is easy: (There are no drivers required. ) Plug it into a USB port. )br>WINDOWS 10 HAS ALL OF THE CONTROLS! Select "Sound Settings" from the drop-down menu. Ensure that the Jounivo Microphone is chosen. br> To customize your settings, go to "Device Properties" and "Additional Device Properties. " br> For the BEST VOLUME performance (as opposed to manual volume control settings), use AGC "On. " br>Once you've completed the setup, you can use the microphone with ANY Windows 10 app. NOTE: It's possible that you'll need to go into your app's privacy settings and TURN ON the microphone! br>If you don't know how to perform these basic setup tasks, your microphone may not function properly. br>SOME APPS ALLOW YOU TO SELECT YOUR INTERACTIVE DEVICE (MICROPHONE). This is something you absolutely must do! br>I hope this information is useful to some of you who are reading reviews that blame the microphone for "user ignorance. "

This was primarily purchased for my son to use as a desktop microphone while playing video games with his friends. br>br>I believe it will perform admirably in that scenario. It's more than adequate for chatting and using the PC / Mac or other similar applications when you need a low-cost, space-saving device. br>br>Advantagesbr>- br>Compact form factorbr>Gooseneck/flexible microphone end is useful in a variety of scenarios and setupsbr>Lightweight, but with enough weight at the bottom to keep it from sliding aroundbr>Long USB cablebr>Volume and mute controls on the microphone base are useful and convenientbr>br>Improvementsbr>- br>The sound quality was just average; you can hear it in the video. If I ever want to use it for voice overs or other recording tasks, I'll have to fiddle with the equalization of the audio that comes out of it. It'll probably suffice for Skype/Discord or other chatting scenarios, but I won't tell you it's a "rich" and high dynamic range microphone - Because it comes through as "ok" sound quality in my testing. br>br>I've uploaded a few photos as well as a video recording with a sound test at the end - so that you can hear what this microphone's output sounds like.
Despite the fact that my computer recognized it, it did not work. Thankfully, I came across another review that detailed how they were able to make it work, and it did for me as well. The following is an excerpt from that critique. Goodluck! "Here's how I got these to work on Windows 10," says the author.
1. Open the sound settings by right-clicking on your sound icon. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br Find the device in the dropdown that says Jounivo in my case, select it, and then click the device properties link below the dropdown. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. Change the volume setting to whatever you want.
For some reason, I do not get any input on any computer until I change the setting from 97%. It works fine after that, even if I revert to 97, but it doesn't work if I don't change it.
For the price, I didn't expect much from this microphone, but I needed something small to sit on my desk and replace my somewhat-worn-out headset microphone. Logitech is a terrible company. br>br>When I talk on the phone, my Logitech USB microphone has poor background noise cancellation and causes echoing. Furthermore, even when the microphone is muted, it still works! It isn't effective at normal levels - People have told me that I have a very quiet voice. When you're supposed to be muted, however, being extremely quiet isn't going to cut it. br>br>So, I purchased this in the hopes of resolving at least one of my problems, and it appears to have done so. I haven't noticed any echoes with it, and when it's muted, the computer picks up ZERO signal (I double-checked). being paranoid in the aftermath of the Logitech). br>br>I like the look of the flexible neck because it keeps its position well. Overall, it's hard to beat the price, and I recently purchased a second one for my other computer.
In May of 2020, Before finding these mics on Amazon, I tried several microphones for PC conference calls, both expensive and inexpensive. There are two primary options available to you. 1) A cardoid pattern (e. g. , e. g. , e. g. 1) Omni-directional (i. e. , directional) and 2) Omni-directional (i. e. , directional). in the right direction I had a few PCs that needed microphones, so I ordered one of each (both with volume controls, which I later discovered isn't really necessary). Both were easy to use plug-ins. play on my PCs running Windows 10. Just make sure you select the new mic for your setup using the appropriate PC or app controls. The sound quality of both mics is truly and pleasantly surprising. I've tried other mics, earbuds, lapel mics, and so on. ) No joke, with my PCs and Zoom as the app, the sound is loud, crystal clear, and very lifelike, and I tried switching between the cardoid and the omni. The omni produces a slightly more "presence" sound and is better for picking up a variety of sound sources (e. g. , music). , a group of people conversing at the same time who aren't seated next to each other). When it was just me at my desk, speaking into the mic from a distance of about 24" (with the mic pointed at me), I discovered that the cardoid produced slightly better overall sound. So, while there is a slight difference between the two mics, they are both truly exceptional!.
