As a NAS, I don't understand why you'd use a Print Server, but let me know if that works for you.
You seem to be confused about this. As far as I know, my Ethernet connection can hook up to a Gigabit switch with no issues (since that's how I configured it). As of now. The switch can also be connected to a 10/100Mb network. You couldn't be more sure about a USB printer port that's why I'm not worried about it.
You can do so without a problem.
All UBS printers will be able to use it. As far as MACs are concerned, I am clueless

My home network runs on Windows 10, and I share 2 printers with my family members via a laptop. If the system is rebooted, however, the other computer will no longer be able to use the printer. It's happened to me numerous times recently and it drives me crazy. So I bought this printer server (the other printer works directly with WiFi). Thanks to some other reviewers, I learned that the only thing I had to do was set my laptop to the same subnet in order to get access to the printer setup so that I could reset the IP address. I appreciate your kind words. I tried to play the CD, but it wouldn't Once I re-set everything to the "real" network, I was able to use the setup to access the printer. But then, a message appeared saying "to use the NEXT button". It is not possible to click on the It took me way too long to figure out how to reconfigure the file. Fearing I might lose my data, I just hit enter. I tried it and Upon clicking the button, I was directed to the next screen where I could set up the printer attached to my computer. I followed all the steps and voila - it was done With this update, I'm once again able to access my old HP P3005 printer from anywhere on my network. I no longer have to reboot the computer in order to utilize the printer, since it's hard-coded to an IP address. Yes, yes, yes. You won't be disappointed!.
As a result of adding them to the network, I can now manage them via GPO. It was the right thing for me. *** Setup I. A.
. 1. Insert the power cord and connect the ethernet. 2. Connect the Ethernet cable. My IP address has been changed by changing the connection to 192 using LAN. My internal gateway was kept at number 13 and turned on at number 3. 192 is used to login to the print server. It said on the paper that it came with that those were my default settings for the print server. I set it to 10. You need to make sure that the TCP/IP settings on the print server match your internal network in order to manage it5. Using a static IP address will make your device more reliable
6. Make sure your password is secure by changing it.
The TP-101 was purchased by me As a result of reading the positive reviews on successful installation, I linked print server (knowing that it wasn't going to be an automated procedure). Even so, it turned out to be more complicated than I had anticipated after reading Having tried to follow the directions in the positive reviews without success, I eventually succeeded by going to the TP-site for more detailed instructions You can chat on the "chat" icon by visiting the link web site. There were several options for tutorial installation in the following dialog. There was a step-by-step guide for installing Windows 10 when I clicked the download button The manual installation process is described in this article. I did not have any difficulty following the instructions, and the print server worked once it had been installed.
The included CD did not need to be used. It was very easy for me to log in once I put my laptop on the same subnet as my default IP. I changed the IP and had the printer up and running in less than five.
It has yet to be determined whether the issue is with this unit or if my printer refuses to work with it. Therefore, I simply cannot rate it any higher than I did.
The printer isn't designed to be placed in a random location. A hard wired connection is required to the I am not configured this way. Resulted in a successful return.
It was so difficult to use my old printer before, but since this guy is on my network, everyone on my network can now print. A simple setup is also included.
It is effective.
