Cisco-Linksys WPS54G Wireless-G 802.11g Print Server

Posted a complaint to customer service, and they transferred me to Senior support. We waited for an hour on hold before giving up with tech support. My friend, a nice US-based customer service representative, called back to follow up on the matter. The issues are being addressed by the person who last attempted it three days ago, but no resolution has yet taken place. There is no resolution to the problem despite my knowledge that this unit is faulty and needs to be replaced under warranty. However, getting a return authorization and diagnosing the problem has taken hours over four days. While it doesn't make any sense to spend so much time on this (or maybe that's what Linksys is hoping for), I would like this to be addressed on principle as soon as possible. My second print server is currently online. Despite the fact that it wasn't being used, my first one was very hot. Well, after about a year, it stopped working for no apparent reason. The lights are off and nothing works. I only ordered another one of these because I had Linksys products elsewhere in the house. The one I attached this time has a large heat sink attached to the side. It runs considerably I wish I had gone with a different vendor after all the problems I had configuring my router, print server and range expander (all Linksys). I have now lost the ability to use my range expander after around a year. I presume it is the same issue as the print server. It is hot. I am tired of customer service that doesn't speak English, setup instructions not written by English speaking employees, and a complete lack of knowledge of their own product, so this time I will switch to another brand. I will replace my Linksys products each time they die with their competitors' products.

I found this product to be very effective. It would have been nice if there were better instructions for installing. As an example, it fails to inform you that the SSID of the router and the encryption you set should match your print server settings you have selected as part of the wizard, otherwise, you will receive a connection failure. I found out it was a used print server and box that had previously been opened. A password had been left from the previous owner, which was not accessible to me. In addition, I was told it was out of warranty and that it was registered to someone else when I called Linksys to find out how to reset it. I was unable to get assistance from them. As an additional note, Windows 10 will not be compatible. A disappointing experience all around.

As it turns out, this server can't handle HP Color LaserJet 3500 and 3600 series printers. In addition to having everything else working, I borrowed a friend's printer to verify that it was working.
